About Gravity45

The Gravity45 is a 45-key mechanical keyboard with an integrated row-staggered layout.

The array was conceived by Kawamura of Greenkeys management and designed by takashicompany.

This is the second in the “Gravity Series” following Gravity36.

Utilizing user feedback from Gravity36, we designed the product to make it easier for the average “keyboard fan” to try the “small keyboard”.

All parts are pre-mounted, eliminating the need for soldering, so you can easily start using your own small keyboard by simply assembling it by yourself.

It is also based on a 40% keyboard with one more row outward than the Gravity36’s, which allows for the common “press the mod key with your little finger” operation.

This significantly lowers the transition hurdle from a typical layout keyboard.

In addition, it is possible to move from a 40% layout to a 30% layout so that the “minimum configuration” embodied in Gravity36 can also be challenged.

In response to requests from Gravity36 users that they want to use it in low profile as well, we have made it a “multi-layout style” and made it compatible not only with Cherry MX compatible key switches but also with Kailh choc v1/v2/Gateron LP 3.0.

JezailFunder’s custom-ordered keycaps are included for low-profile use, providing a comfortable keystroke feel even at low profiles.

In a new attempt, Skelton Keyboard was commissioned to design the aluminum case for the Gravity series, and the result is an ambitious work that reveals a new aspect of the Gravity series.

The acrylic sandwich structure with beautiful transparency is adopted, and the coloring is different from that of the 3mm Hi-Pro, and this one is chosen to be even more bluish than the glass edge color distributed in Japan, giving it a transparency like the ocean.

The keystroke feel is hard, and the sound of the keyswitch itself is emphasized.

It is a floating mount and is compatible with the original mounting pins “MountPin” and tadpole.

By deliberately not placing foam or other materials, we have sought to maximize the natural keystroke sound of the keyswitches while also pursuing a soft keystroke feel.

The rubber feet are also specially designed, an ambitious work that also presents a new option for self-made keyboard parts.
