On July 20, 2024, Yusha Kobo updated its official X to announce that Corne V4, which had been out of stock, is now available for pre-order.
Shipping is scheduled for August or later, and each is priced at 17,600 yen (tax included).
Two types of keyboards are available for pre-order: “Cherry” with Cherry MX key switches and “Chocolate” with Kailh Choc V1 low-profile key switches.
For V4, the RP2040 is used, and the MCU is built into the board, eliminating the need to install a microcontroller such as ProMicro, as well as pre-soldering switch sockets and diodes.
Therefore, compared to Corne before V3, the assembly hurdle has been lowered dramatically, and it is very easy to purchase for beginners who have no experience in soldering their own keyboards.
A special injection-molded case is also included so that purchasers can assemble it simply by screwing in the screws, fitting the key switches, and attaching the key caps.

Keymap change with Remap /Vial is also supported, and the keymap can be easily changed on the GUI, allowing you to set your preferred key layout and shortcut keys.
In Ver. 4.1.0 of the second lot, the “operation problem in Miniaturization” has been corrected, and it is believed that the connection has been changed to a TRS connection instead of a TRRS connection due to design and parts changes caused by the depletion of TRRS jack stock.
