On March 24, 2026, Lofree announced on its official X the release of a dedicated LP for the new Hyzen series that had been announced.
They are going to start crowdfunding on Kickstarter in the near future.

The page describes Hyzen as “The world’s first mechanical magnetic keyboard.
Pre-order prices on Kickstarter are also disclosed, specifying $169.00 for Single-Mode, $189.00 for Tri-Mode (VIP price), and $279.00 / $299.00 for regular price, respectively.

Let’s start with the housing design.

Hyzen is CNC-machined from a single block of premium aluminum and is lined with elements such as a frame with an integrated 12-degree tilt, dual top-mounted knobs, and an LED light bar on the back.

For the top line, a switching gimmick is included, and when the lever is moved up, the function indicator appears above the number line, and the role of the number line appears to change to the function line.
The idea of remapping only the number lines with physical switches is quite novel.
It is available in two colors, Silver and Space Gray.

It looks much more rigid than previous Lofree products, but instead of a “gleaming gaming keyboard” look, it appears to have a somewhat calm appearance.
The key switch has a major feature.
At the heart of Hyzen is the “Nexus” switch, jointly developed by Lofree and Kailh.

LP describes the hybrid structure as a combination of conventional metal contacts and magnetic sensing, and appeals for actuation adjustment in increments of 0.01 mm, as well as highly sensitive magnetic detection by TMR (Tunneling Magnetoresistance).
| (data) item | TMR key switch | Hall effect key switch |
|---|---|---|
| Detection method | TMR element detects changes in magnetic field | Hall element detects changes in magnetic field |
| Contacts | nashi (Pyrus pyrifolia, esp. var. culta) | nashi (Pyrus pyrifolia, esp. var. culta) |
| durability | high | high |
| sensitivity | high sensitive (e.g. film, radio receiver) | high sensitive (e.g. film, radio receiver) |
| feature | Easier to aim for finer input control | Already widely used in practical applications |
| Main applications | New generation of magnetic keyboards | Spread mainly in the gaming industry |
| diffusion status | Not yet widespread | more general |
| summary | High-precision-oriented magnetic type | Current mainstream magnetic type |

In addition, the user can switch between Mechanical Mode and Magnetic Mode by pressing Enter + Fn. The idea of switching between work-oriented key feel and game-oriented high-speed response with a single device seems to be a major feature of this series.

It has a structure like a magnetic keyswitch with metal contacts. This can be switched with a single switch…!
Let’s also look at the performance aspect.
Hyzen uses Nordic 54 series chipsets, with an 8,000 Hz polling rate in LP and an input delay of only 0.125 ms, which in the context of typing may give the illusion that you are typing faster.

KawamuraAs we have mentioned on Greenkeys regarding “office use” of magnetic keyboards, we believe that depending on the setting, they can be used quite stress-free.
In addition, the dedicated Lofree Hub software supports Rapid Trigger, DKS, SOCD, and other settings, giving the impression that the company has put a lot of effort into software development as well as hardware development, as it has all the necessary elements for a magnetic gaming keyboard.

We will look at the connection specifications.
Hyzen supports USB-C wired / Bluetooth / 2.4GHz wireless Tri-Mode connectivity and is guided by a 10,000mAh battery for up to 80 hours of operation.
In addition, the existence of The existence of the 8K Wireless Dongle is also mentioned in the LP, and The LP also mentions the existence of an 8K Wireless Dongle, which is designed to include a high polling rate during wireless operation.
The mounting method is Gasket Mount, and the tuning of keystroke sound and feel is also specified.

Lofree says the following about Hyzen at the end of the LP text
Lofree develops interesting and professional products that allow like-minded people to create stylish 2m² spaces at their fingertips and escape from their boring lives.
It is known for its top-of-the-line thin mechanical keyboards, such as the Edge and Flow series.
The forthcoming Hyzen will be another breakthrough for Lofree in HE keyboards.
This is the first time the company has released a magnetic keyboard.
With gaming keyboards becoming a worldwide trend, Hyzen is a keyboard that has found a new aspect in the looks of gaming keyboards.
