What is the Flow2 Series?
The Flow2 series is Lofree’s new generation of low-profile mechanical keyboards, available in three sizes: 68-key, 84-key, and 100-key.
This extremely popular project was crowdfunded on the American crowdfunding site Kickstarter from July 10 to August 9, 2025, and was backed by 8,060 backers.
It is the second version of the “Lofree Flow,” which was very popular due to its low profile, gasket mount, and innovative “thocky” switch at the time.
Not only has the size variation increased from the first generation to include not only 75%, but also 65% and 100%, but also the updated look and the “change in direction of the keystroke sound” are the main features of the new lineup.
While the original Flow had a “nasal, bass-leaning” feel, Flow 2 has been brushed up to a “slightly crisper, bass-leaning” feel.
The key switches have also been upgraded with the newly developed Pulse (tactile switches) (black model), Surfer (linear), and Void (silent linear) (silver) switches for an upgraded key feel.
Broad features of Flow2
- Full aluminum body with CNC machining + 205 grit anodizing
- Lofree x Kailh jointly developed Cloud Series low-profile switches
- 5-layer foam + gasket mount for quietness and keystroke feel
- VIA-compatible, tri-mode connection (wired / Bluetooth 5.3 / 2.4GHz)
Thus, the Flow2 is a low-profile keyboard that leans toward the high-end.
Main Features
Flow2 has the following six main features
Main features of Flow 2
- 3 layout developments (68 / 84 / 100 keys)
- Premium aluminum body
- Newly developed low-profile switch
- 5-layer foam + gasket mount
- Equipped with touch bar
- Supports keymap changes by VIA
1. 3 layout developments (68 / 84 / 100 keys)

Flow2 is available in the following three sizes to suit your usage scenario and desk environment.
- Flow2 68: Compact and easy to use on a laptop
- Flow2 84: Compact TKL-like layout with function keys
- Flow2 100: Near full-size layout with numeric keypad
The 68 keys in particular are a good size for mobile use, such as on-the-go or clamshell operation, and if you feel that Flow is “too big to carry around,” it is a good choice.
KawamuraI also use the 68 key size.

Premium aluminum body

The Flow2 is a very beautiful looking keyboard.
The aluminum housing, machined from CNC aluminum and finished with 205-grit anodizing, combines the rigidity and high-grade feel of metal.
Another key point is the smooth feel of the product, which prevents the fingertips from feeling “cold” when touched.
Newly developed low-profile switch

Based on user research conducted by Lofree, the Cloud Series switches were developed to provide “not only lightweight but also consistent light feedback.
Technical evolution points include the following
- High-precision design with 0.04mm tolerance improves keystroke smoothness by approximately 12
- Increased contact point structure from 6 to 12 points for enhanced stability
- Light hole enlarged 3.2 times to improve backlight transparency

The pressing pressure is standardized at 40gf for all keyswitches, which provides an attractive light key feel.
Switch Lineup:
- Silver model:
- Surfer (linear)
- Void (silent linear)
- Space gray model:
- Pulse (Tactile)
4. 5-layer foam + gasket mount

Five layers of foam are built into the case to absorb the shock of keystrokes.
Furthermore, in combination with the gasket mount structure,
It is designed to have both a soft keystroke feel and a dead sound with little reverberation, but it is also attractive because it is loud enough to provide auditory feedback that you are “hitting” the keys firmly.
Of course, with a quiet switch, you won’t be afraid to use it in the office.
5. equipped with touch bar

A touch bar on the side of the keyboard allows volume and backlight brightness adjustment.
A setting to turn off the touch bar function is also available if you wish to avoid accidental operation.
6. support for keymap change by VIA

The Flow2 series is Lofree’s first VIA-compatible keyboard.
The ability to configure keymaps and macros makes it very easy for users already familiar with VIA to integrate it into their environment.
In addition, “Mod-Tap” using the Any Key function can be set up for both wired and wireless operation, greatly expanding the scope of customization.

7. tri-mode connection + high polling rate

Flow2 offers the following three connection methods, which are tri-mode compatible.
- USB-C Wired
- Bluetooth 5.3
- 2.4 GHz wireless
Of course, the product has been certified for technical compliance and can be used with confidence in Japan.
It also supports a 1000 Hz polling rate for wired and 2.4 GHz connections, which is said to enable input with minimal delay for gaming applications.
8. battery and stand mechanism
Flow2 is equipped with a high-capacity battery that provides up to 120 hours of continuous use.
- Flow2 68: 2,000mAh (max. approx. 90 hours / with light off)
- Flow2 84 / 100: 3,000mAh (max. 120 hours / with light off)
Both are USB-C rechargeable and can run continuously for more than a dozen hours even at maximum light brightness.
The kickstand on the back supports two levels of adjustment (0° / approx. 7°) to allow typing at the desired angle.

The slide switch to turn on the wireless connection mode is mounted under the tilt leg for appearance.
