The @40 is a popular product that was on preorder for a month beginning February 14, 2025.
As for this sale, it is believed to be a re-sale with a new case color.

Presumably, this is in the form of version 2 being sold due to the popularity of the preorder version.
The concept behind the project has the feel of a low-pro version of the Deadline Studio TPS40.
The 40% layout is easy to use, and the key layout can be selected from two types: ortho-linear and low-staggered.

For this price, you can buy both.
Keyswitches are compatible with Kailh chocn and probably have a typical key pitch of 19 mm.
The low-profile keyswitches allow typing without the need for a palm rest, and the height of the front side is as low as 12.5 mm.

The case is made of anodized painted aluminum, giving it a heavy and luxurious feel.

This time, seven case colors (light blue, red, lavender, green, gray, gold, and pink) are available.

It looks like a tray mount.
Since it is compatible with daughter boards, there is no difference in keystroke feel near the connector, and it will probably produce a uniform keystroke feel.
Since it seems to be tray-mounted, the keystroke feel is probably a bit harder, and may depend on whether or not sound-absorbing material is added.
The price to Japan is $126.10 with our coupon code, which is very inexpensive for a keyboard of this spec.

Calculating the total cost with KeebTax, the total cost is about 20,000 yen including other expenses.

In fact, the coupon code may not be subject to import sales tax because it is just under the duty-free line.
This is a “buy”!
How about one for you, too?
