What’s New at Kick75

The previous announcement indicated that it is probably the “world’s first hybrid construction” that uses Gateron LP 3.0 and can use both the low-profile and regular Cherry MX standards.

Let’s look first at the visuals.
First is the overall coloring.
This one is low profile.
The overall coloring of the product is found to be “retro game style”.
KawamuraWell, without wrapping up, it is Nintendo’s Super Nintendo Entertainment System itself.
The exterior is a transparent case made of polycarbonate material? The transparent case is made of polycarbonate material or something similar, and some kind of badge can be seen in the lower right corner.
The key profile is probably nSA.

Next is the normal profile.
The coloring of the key caps does not change the retro feature look.
Compared to the low profile, the sidewalls are higher.
I see that the mSA profile is used for the keycap profile.

Thus, going back and forth between low profile and normal profile may be achieved by changing the sidewalls and the switch plate.
KawamuraIt would be very easy to replace the switch plate if it were common.
In addition, a survey form is provided at the end of the content, with questions that are designed to be used as a reference for production volume.

Other information that has been identified
- Total Travel for low-profile key switches is 3.4mm, full POM switches
- Smart Knob (rotary encoder switch) mounted on top right
- Keymap can be changed with QMK/VIA or NuPhy IO
- Triple mode connection
- Perhaps a 1000 Hz polling rate for wired and 2.4 GHz dongle connections
- All components are open source, with official 3D prin files available for modification
Key switch type
- Red Nano (Linear)
- Brown Nano (Tactile)
- Silver Nano (Speed Linear)
- Blush Nano (Silent Linear)
summary
This is an explanation of the latest information on Kick75.
The retro-featured design will probably be very popular in the world, but I honestly have the impression that I am not sure about its acceptance in Japan.
We felt that if there were other variations of replacement keycaps, this product would be a hit.
Since it is not full aluminum like the NOS75, I would expect it to be a sub-$100.00 product, perhaps with the recent market in mind.
I will report back if there is further information.
