On July 8, 2024, NuPhy updated its official X to announce the launch of the new NOS75 keyboard, which will go on sale at 20:30 on July 11, 2024.
NuPhy’s first all-aluminum body is used, and since it is wired-only compatible, it can be used in Japan without worrying about technical compliance even if bought from an official store.
This article provides an overview of NOS75.

Gateron LP 3.0 N1 nano
One of the highlights of the NOS75 was the inclusion of the new Gateron LowProfile 3.0 low-profile keyswitch.
Thus, it is expected to be compatible with the Cherry MX keyswitch footprint, allowing existing keyboards to be low-profile. (However, it is necessary to replace the keyboard with a dedicated stabilizer.)
The name of the keyswitch used is “N1 Nano” and the keyswitch travel distance is 3.4mm, the same as the short-stroke Cherry MX keyswitch.
Of course. Hot-swapping is supported.
It appears to be equipped with a lens for LEDs, and the push pressure is 50 gf, which is just the right amount of linear switching.
As it is made of Full POM, it is a “Kotokoto” type key switch as a base.
About keystroke sound
The officially announced typing sound is somewhat clacky.
However, it will probably also be Thocky, depending on how it is mounted.
About PCBs and Plates
Because of the all-aluminum body, the PCB has no wireless support this time, only a wired connection.
Therefore, when used in Japan, it would be advantageous not to have to check for technical conformity.
The polling rate is a typical 1000 Hz.
The default plate choice is FR4, but options are available in aluminum, polycarbonate, POM, and carbon fiber.
Mounting Method
Like the Gem80, it uses an “omni-mount” system that allows multiple mounting methods to be selected.
The default mounting is a silicone socket mount. Other mounting options include silicone bean, silicone strip, and screw & silicone.
Compatible with QMK/VIA
This is becoming the standard for recent models, and of course NOS75 also supports QMK/VIA and allows keymap changes.
Bottom structure and stainless steel weights (optional)
On the bottom surface of the body, there is a hollow tube of silicone called a “gas foot” that seems to absorb the impact of keystrokes.
Weights are not included by default and are optional.
The price for the option weights is $49.00.
acoustic material
The thin body contains five layers of sound-absorbing material, which, in combination with the mounting system, allows the user to adjust the key feel to their preference of either Thocy or Clacky.
About Key Caps
As for the keycaps, the nSA profile is used as before.
As you can see in the image, there are several unpublished items in the pipeline.
It may be worth noting the clear keycaps at the top and bottom of the image.
