Altair(-X) by ai03 full vendor list and final pricing announced

On April 24, 2024, Cannonkeys sent out a simultaneous email to Altair (-X) by ai03 pre-order registrants, announcing the vendor list and final pricing for Altair(-X) by ai03.

Participating vendors were selected from stores in nine countries and regions, including Yousha Kobo in Japan, and the final unit prices will start at $315.00 for Altair and $300.00 for Altair-X, as originally announced.

The GB is scheduled to begin on April 29, with a deadline of June 3.

Happily, the Japanese Yusha Kobo is listed as a vendor, but the problem is “price”.

The yen has been historically weak since April 24, exceeding 155 yen per dollar, and simply converting $300.00 into yen is 46,500 yen.

Since the shipping cost and vendor profit will probably be added to this, we expect the final selling price in Japan to be as follows.

Adding a dedicated keycap set and a foam kit to this would cost at least 60,000 yen.
