AULA has released six JIS-layout keyboard models for the Japanese market starting April 7, 2026.

According to PR TIMES, they’re set to roll out at select major electronics retailers nationwide, with the lineup consisting of the F65, F75, F87, F99, Hero68, and Hero84.

The six JIS-layout models AULA is bringing to the Japanese market this time range from 65% to full size, including four mechanical models plus the HERO68 / HERO84 with magnetic switches.
| model | Layout / Size | switch(ing) method | Main Features |
|---|---|---|---|
| F65 | 65% | mechanical | Space-saving compact design that keeps arrow keys and more |
| F75 | 75% | mechanical | Gasket mount, 5-layer sound-dampening design, aluminum alloy knob, all-key hot-swappable, RGB |
| F87 | 80% TKL | mechanical | Gasket mount, comfortable typing feel and flexible usability |
| F99 | 96%. | mechanical | 8,000 mAh high-capacity battery, focused on input efficiency |
| HERO68 | 65% | Magnetic | Rapid Trigger, 0.1–3.4 mm actuation-point adjustment, RT 0.01 mm precision, supports SOCD/MT, hot-swappable |
| HERO84 | 75%. | Magnetic | High-precision actuation adjustment, extensive customization, a layout that keeps the F-keys and arrow keys |
It’s clear this isn’t a one-off JIS localization—they’re aiming to cover the space across both size ranges and switch types.
What’s especially notable this time is that AULA is rolling out the JIS layout not as a “point,” but as a “surface.” The annou
The announcement says the lineup includes not only standard mechanical keyboards, but also Hero68 and Hero84 as models equipped with magnetic (Hall effect) key switches.

In other words, AULA doesn’t seem to be treating the Japanese layout as just an entry-level add-on spec—they appear to be expanding it to include serious models in the gaming space as well.
Another major point is that they explicitly mention sales channels extending to in-store sales at select major electronics retailers nationwide.
Until now, Japanese-layout models from overseas brands have often been limited to direct sales or distribution through a handful of shops.
In contrast, AULA is moving with distribution that includes big-box retailers from the start.
PR TIMES also explains that the L99, scheduled to launch around the same time, is positioned differently from this JIS-layout series and will be offered in a US layout.
That split is interesting too, and suggests AULA is organizing its lineup for the Japanese market by assigning distinct roles to JIS and US layouts.
The real takeaway from this news isn’t just that “AULA has more new products,” but that an overseas brand is coming for the Japanese-layout market with multiple models, not a one-off.
Rather than being a “niche layout,” the Japanese layout may be starting to be seen as a market that can genuinely generate business even for overseas brands.
We’ll have to judge quality and overall finish after seeing the actual units, but at the very least, AULA seems to be entering the Japanese market with serious intent this time.
