About Gravity36

The Gravity36 is a mechanical keyboard with a split-row staggered layout with 18 left and right keys for a total of 36 keys.

The array was conceived by Kawamura, who runs Greenkeys, and designed by takashicompany.

The project was originally inspired by the ” #KLE Array Championship ” organized by takashicompany, and GreenEchoes Studio, the operator of Greenkeys, took the initiative to commercialize the product.

The concept is “a keyboard kit that lowers the entry hurdle.

Although interested in self-made keyboard kits, they are “gadgets” with very high entry hurdles for beginners, such as the need for soldering, poor availability of keycaps due to the special layout, and the need to select and assemble various parts on their own.

In light of this current situation, we planned Gravity36 with the idea of creating a keyboard kit that anyone can easily enjoy.

First, to eliminate the need for soldering, we arrange for all necessary parts to be mounted at the factory during the board manufacturing stage, and we also include factory-cut acrylic plates in the package.

The microcontroller, which requires soldering, uses a combination of spring pin headers and ProMicro that can be used without soldering, and we offer “soldering service” as an option. This kit can be assembled with a single screwdriver.

In addition, there is no need to provide keycaps, as we have ordered and included exclusive keycaps from Greenkeys’ partner, Keyreative.

All you need is a key switch of your choice.

Key switches are readily available on Amazon.
