On September 11, 2024, NuPhy updated its official X to announce the launch of a new product lineup.
The new additions are White on Black and Black on White, the standard colors for low-profile keycaps compatible with the NOS /AiR series.
The key count is 113 keys, which covers up to the 96% layout keyboard released by the company.
The key profile is an nSA profile with a slightly recessed center and a flat design that does not vary in inclination from row to row, so that even when used on column staggered or other special arrangement keyboards, the keys may be placed relatively freely without regard to printing.
Manufacturing is, of course, done by KeyTok, which is responsible for NuPhy’s keycap production.
KawamuraKeyTok has provided us with several keycaps, and the cosmetics are excellent. And of course, the quality is high.
The price is only $19.00.
I have checked several times and there is no doubt.
Recently, there has been a lot of attention paid to low-profile key switches and low-profile mechanical keyboards, but unfortunately, there are few replacement keycaps available, and the scope of customization is not that wide.
In Japan, there are many cases of adoption, especially for home-made keyboards, but since I personally felt that such “lack of keycaps” was a problem, many people may be happy about this release.
