On January 10, 2023, Gateron released its official Instagram to announce the official release of the Low Profile 2.0 Switch.

As for Gateron Low-profile Switches 1.0, I personally did not like it that much in terms of “weak return”, so I am very excited about 2.0.
A total of six types of switches were announced: three upgraded versions of the existing Red/Brown/Blue and three new switches, Wisteri/Daisy/Aloe.
However, Wisteria /Daisy /Aloe are only available in NuPhy.
Updated versions of previous models announced by Gateron are available for individual purchase from Gateron.com, as well as from NuPhy and Keychron.

Comparing the new low-profile mechanical key switches to previous low-profile switches, it can be seen that the new low-profile mechanical key switches have an increased total travel and a deeper stroke that is closer to that of the normal profile.
