On April 10, 2026, Kopek Japan, Keychron’s official distributor in Japan, updated their official X account to announce the addition of a “Silent Red Switch” model to the Keychron K1 Max JIS retro color lineup.
On the product page, in addition to the existing low-profile Gateron mechanical red, brown, and banana switches, the low-profile Keychron Silent red switch is now available as a new option.
Pricing is ¥19,360 for the existing three switch types and ¥20,570 for the silent red switch model.
The K1 Max Retro is an 80% tenkeyless low-profile wireless mechanical keyboard.

It supports 2.4GHz, Bluetooth, and wired connections, and can be customized using the Keychron Launcher web app.
Recent Keychron JIS layout models now feature double-shot PBT keycaps, just like their English layout counterparts, showing solid updates not only in retro aesthetics but also in practical functionality.
This update can be seen as a response to the “growing demand for silent switches” anticipated for office use.
Recently, various manufacturers have been releasing silent switches one after another, reflecting market demand from users who want to use their preferred keyboards while being considerate of their surroundings.
