Recently, gaming keyboard brands have accelerated the release of keyboards with magnetic switches.
Keychron had announced the release of the Keychron Q1 HE, the company’s first keyboard with magnetic switches, which will be crowdfunded and available in October 2023.
However, it has not been released as of November.
I looked at the product’s introduction page… and to my surprise, the due date has been changed.
When will the Q1 HE be available? Estimated November 2023 on Kickstarter, and we expect to start shipping in January 2024 and ship out all orders in February . (When will the Q1 HE be available? Previously, crowdfunding began in October 2023, shipping began in December 2023, and shipping was scheduled to be completed in January 2024.
We have confirmed this when we created the following content, so we are probably correct.

No reason was given as to why the launch was effectively postponed.
My personal question is whether the QMK base can handle the rapid triggering, change of actuation point, double action, etc. that are unique to magnetic switches.
Other companies seem to use their own software to control the system, but we are interested to see how Keychron will be able to do this.
Recently, Akko’s sister brand MONSGEEK has released the very inexpensive M1 HE, and magnetic keyboards have also been released by Darmoshark and Akko, as well as by Japanese manufacturer Elecom, indicating that competition is intensifying.
In such a situation, one cannot deny the impression that Keychron is a step behind.
As a manufacturer that has made a tremendous impact on the awareness of mechanical keyboards with its overwhelming lineup, we are curious to see what the future holds.
