Disclosure: Greenkeys previously received a review unit of the Hyzen from Lofree and published a review. This article is a news report summarizing domestic sales information based on the official announcement published on October 21, 2026. Greenkeys received no payment for this article.
On October 21, 2026, Sanyo LLC, Lofree’s exclusive distributor in Japan, announced the domestic launch of the Lofree Hyzen, a keyboard equipped with hybrid switches.
Sales begin at 6 p.m. that day through Lofree Japan, BicCamera.com, and Yodobashi.com.
Shipping is scheduled to begin in early November 2026.
The price is currently listed as open, and the dedicated palm rest is sold separately.
The number of units available for sale has not been announced, but Greenkeys expects the supply to be fairly limited.
The Hyzen features NEXUS switches, which combine mechanical contacts and a TMR magnetic sensor in a single switch.
A key feature is the ability to switch between conventional mechanical input and magnetic input, which enables features such as Rapid Trigger.
Beyond that, its solid CNC-milled aluminum body and the beautiful side profile when paired with the dedicated palm rest make this a keyboard that is a pleasure to own.

CNC-milled aluminum case and distinctive function display mechanism

The case is made from a single piece of CNC-machined aluminum.
Another notable feature is a physical switch that toggles the number and function rows, with the current mode shown in a display window on the top of the case.

The typing angle is quite steep at around 12 degrees. The separately sold dedicated palm rest seems likely to be an important part of a comfortable setup, rather than just an accessory.

The volume dial and mode switch, inspired by Hi-Fi audio equipment, also add to the keyboard’s structural appeal.

A gasket mount, unusual for a magnetic keyboard

The Hyzen uses a PCB gasket mount, an uncommon design for a keyboard with magnetic switches.
According to Lofree, the FR4 plate and multi-layer material design optimize vibration control and acoustic performance.
As noted in our review, its relatively clacky typing sound may prove addictive.
NEXUS switches combine mechanical contacts and a TMR magnetic sensor
At the heart of the Hyzen are the NEXUS switches, co-developed by Lofree and Kailh.

Each switch contains conventional mechanical contacts and a TMR magnetic sensor, and can be used in either mechanical or magnetic mode.
The dedicated web driver, Lofree Hub, lets you change keymaps and configure up to seven profiles, Dynamic Keystroke, Mod Tap, SOCD, and more.

Wired and 2.4 GHz connections support polling rates of up to 8,000 Hz.

The announcement lists the weight as 3,130 g, but a sample unit previously checked by Greenkeys weighed approximately 1,860 g.
At this point, it is unclear whether 3,130 g refers to the weight of the domestic model itself or includes the case and accessories.
The Hyzen isn’t a keyboard to choose for gaming performance alone

While the Hyzen supports Rapid Trigger and an 8,000 Hz polling rate, it takes a different approach from conventional competitive gaming keyboards.
It is designed to make a statement on the desk, with a CNC aluminum case, a dial reminiscent of Hi-Fi equipment, a function display window, and understated lighting.
Rather than comparing it purely on gaming performance or price, it is better seen as a premium model for people who want one keyboard for both typing and gaming, or who value a cohesive desk setup.
