Lofree Hyzen Review with Photos
Let’s take a look at the actual photos.
What first stood out when I actually touched it was the high level of product refinement, even more than its functionality as a magnetic switch-compatible keyboard.

The exterior, centered around a CNC-machined aluminum chassis, is very refined, with a minimal design that avoids unnecessary decoration.

Lofree also positions Hyzen as “intentional, minimal, premium,” suggesting it is a product that emphasizes material quality and overall proportions.

What was particularly impressive was its presence when placed on a desk.

Rather than a typical “gaming keyboard” that makes a strong statement, Hyzen appears to be a keyboard that blends naturally into the space while radiating presence.

Including the striking bar-type side lighting and the texture of the aluminum body, it feels designed not just as an input device, but as a product that composes the desk environment.

On the other hand, the typing angle is specified as 12 degrees, and the actual measurement of 11.3 degrees gives a slightly steep impression.

Lofree states that they prototyped numerous angles and ultimately determined this to be suitable for a wide range of users*, but this point may divide opinions.
For those accustomed to flatter angles, it may feel a bit strong at first impression.
Additionally, since the front edge has a height of about 2cm, it may be desirable to use it with a palm rest.

In fact, it’s no exaggeration to say that Hyzen’s aesthetic is fully realized with the dedicated palm rest included.

For the production version, refinements are planned, including cleaning up the logo area, adding Mac-specific markings to keycaps, and adding Japanese language support.

With these adjustments, the product’s overall refinement is likely to improve further.

summary

Hyzen left an impression not only as a new magnetic switch-compatible keyboard, but also as a “keyboard you’d want to choose for its looks,” including the texture of the aluminum chassis and overall design.
While it’s a product where the novelty of its functionality tends to draw attention, in reality, its high level of design appears to be one of the keyboard’s major attractions.
Lofree Hyzen has been crowdfunding on Kickstarter since April 23.
