On June 15, 2023, world-renowned keyboard reviewer ” alexotos ” announced on his official Twitter page that he and Mode Designs are developing an original key switch.
Details have not yet been released, but the four photos tweeted show the Envoy, a 65% layout mechanical keyboard scheduled to be available starting at the end of June 2023, in a limited edition orange color with a cream case and orange stem, along with a row of key switches.
I am very excited to see what kind of key switch this will be.
There is no official vendor for Mode Designs in Japan, so you will need to purchase the product yourself from the official site, but it is very much worth it, even if you have to import it yourself.
The DIY kit is very inexpensive at $189 and up, but there is no compromise in the key feel, and we rate it as outstanding among this class of keyboards.
We encourage you to purchase this collaborative key switch with Envoy when it becomes available.
