Greenkeys reporting has revealed that the Japanese JIS layout model of the NocFree & contains symbol misprints on four keycaps in the number row: “6,” “7,” “8,” and “9.”
According to NocFree, the Japanese layout models currently being shipped also include these misprinted keycaps.
However, the remanufacturing of corrected keycaps has already been arranged, and replacement sets are scheduled to be sent to affected users once they are ready.
Greenkeys has also inspected the Japanese layout sample provided to us and confirmed the same misprints on those four keys.

Misprints Confirmed on 4 Keys of the NocFree & Japanese Layout Model
The misprints have been confirmed on the following four keys in the number row:
| key | Printing on the production version | Correct JIS layout printing |
|---|---|---|
| 6 | ^ | & |
| 7 | & | ' |
| 8 | * | ( |
| 9 | ( | ) |

As shown, some of the keys currently feature the US layout printing instead.
Potential for Misprints in Undelivered Japanese Layout Models
According to information from NocFree, current Japanese layout models are continuing to ship with the misprinted keycaps included.
Consequently, users who have ordered the Japanese layout model but have not yet received it may also receive these misprinted keycaps.
NocFree has already placed an order with the keycap manufacturer to reproduce the correctly printed caps, which will be sent to Japanese layout purchasers at a later date.
When your product arrives, it is a good idea to first check the symbol printing on the “6,” “7,” “8,” and “9” keys in the number row.
No Issues with Other Keycaps
When Greenkeys verified the printing on the sample unit, no defects were found other than the keys mentioned above.
The Backspace key is printed as “ |”; using this specific symbol appears to be an intentional design choice.
Similarly, the arrow keys are represented by unique symbols that differ from the standard style.

While the default keycaps are for Mac, replacement keycaps for Windows and accent keycaps are also included.

Summary
We have reported on the confirmed symbol misprints on the “6,” “7,” “8,” and “9” keycaps for the NocFree & Japanese layout model.
While the exact shipping date for the replacement keycaps is currently TBD, it is likely that individual applications for them will not be necessary.
We will provide updates as new information becomes available.
Despite the minor printing errors, it seems the Japanese layout models are finally starting to reach customers.
Greenkeys will continue to conduct a thorough evaluation of the actual unit.
