TOKYO KEYBOARD EXPO was held on September 23, 2025.

Tickets were sold out on the day of the event, and the venue, filled with people from the beginning to the end of the show, was always full of excitement.

There were many familiar faces and many people who approached me, and I personally enjoyed the “home” feeling.

I took a few pictures of the work of people I met, so here are some of them.

Renno Murasaki’s clothing and key caps

We met with Mr. Ren-no-Murasaki, who produced the “Ekam Vahini” artisan keycap that was installed on the Gravity45 aluminum kit.

She was dressed in kimono, which she had recently started wearing, giving her a different impression.

An artisan keycap hung from his waist on a titanium “netsuke” that he designed and made himself.

Netsuke made of titanium. The titanium netsuke was made because most of them were made for women and only a few were for men.

This charm is also said to be recognizable to comic book enthusiasts when they see it.

The lineup includes three keycaps: Owl by Vi, a Ukrainian keycap designer, THINK by BOXXX Keycaps, and his own original titanium keycap.

The original titanium keycaps had a matte finish and were then hardened to a “titanium blue” color.

It changes to this kind of color.

Miyabi’s 16mm pitch aluminum keycaps

I finally met Miyabi, whom I could not meet in Tenkey.

Shown was the Keyball39ish-μ, made of machined aluminum with 16mm pitch keycaps and machined aluminum.

(Will it be roBaishu-µ?)

I can’t find a good way to describe it, but the inorganic look that reminds me of him in Terminator 2 is irresistibly cool, and I was impressed by the high quality of the product.

It is very compact, partly because of its narrow pitch.

After all, the popularity of the Karasta keyboard with left and right split travos is tremendous.

summary

In addition to the above, we also have Inoue-san, a wooden keyboard case maker, Dr. Mune, a keyboard collector, tenpapa-san, who is becoming a keystroke sound fanatic, d.///-san, who created the Gravity45 third-party case, Masuro-san, who has become a man inside Chosfox, omni kbd mass, Sosuke from imDRESSion, people from Sanyo Godo Kaisha, Mr. Zhao from Keyreative, Mr. Alex from zFrontier, and many more.

Also, the middleman who designed and developed the Geist keyboard for the Geistmaschine brand, which was on display at the Keyreative booth, was there from Germany and greeted us.

I am ashamed to admit that I had never heard of this keyboard before, but it is a ridiculously cool keyboard… This is a top of the line high-end keyboard.

Well, really, it was a day that reminded me that the world around the keyboard is a big place!

The third part of this series will introduce the booths of self-made keyboard artists.
