Cymatics can be selected from two patterns: Bright/Dark.

Both are manufactured by KeyTok and are made with dye sublimation printing, PBT material, and the profile is the nSA profile with a common slope for all Rs.

The set contains a total of 119 keys and is compatible with the NuPhy Air60, Air75, Air96, Air60 V2, Air75 V2, and Air96 V2 keyboards.

It also appears to be compatible with low-profile compact mechanical keyboards from other manufacturers with 60/75/96 layouts, but you need to check in advance if the key layout matches the keycaps.

Both are “pre-order” and the sales schedule is as follows

Cymatics: 7/25 pre-order sales end -> supposed to switch to general sales

Carmine Cloud: 7/20 pre-orders end → expected to switch to general sales

A collaborative project between NuPhy and Suda, the Cymatics keycap set is an experiment in building a relationship between the visual and acoustic aspects of keys. Design highlights include a key legend inspired by the five Chaldi patterns and a waveform representation of the letters borrowed from Jessica Normile’s Sound Wave Alphabet. The waveform corresponding to the sound of each letter is placed below the legend. They are recorded individually and further pixelated to match the letter font. For the overall color theme, a combination of indigo + turquoise + white was chosen to create a sci-fi feel. For the color layout, we chose to reverse the traditional “white inside” layout. This way, the overall visual impact is stronger, while also highlighting the most important waveforms of this keycap set.

Carmine Cloud takes its color inspiration from a beach sunset scene, encompassing the different shades and colors of the sky before the dawn. The purplish afterglow of the Blue Hour transitions to the rosy clouds of a nautical sunset, blending into the orange-yellow glow of the lower Golden Hour. Several personalized keycaps with symbols of stars, moon, clouds, birds returning to their nests, sunsets, and sailing ships are included to add a little zest to the colored cocktail.
