On August 21, 2024, awekeys Japan, which is currently crowdfunding metal keycaps on “Makuake,” updated its official X and announced a change in product content.
The company’s original sales schedule included the following
- Version with engraving｜Without homing key
- Version without engraving｜with homing key
Thus, if you wanted homing keys, the only option was the unmarked version.
However, the change has been made to include a homing key in both sets.
KawamuraThis will be great for users who have already purchased the product, as homing keys are essential for touch typing.
awekeys seems to be accepting changes with or without legend for those who have made a support purchase of the “base set” on Makuake.
