A 75% low-profile keyboard with ceramic keycaps

The Zen75 is a low-profile keyboard with a 75% layout from Cerakey.
It was crowdfunded on Kickstarter in April 2025 and became a popular product, attracting 1,166 backers.
It’s a compact 75% keyboard featuring Cerakey’s proprietary ceramic keycaps and a gasket-mount design, and its standout appeal is that it’s essentially the only one that comes with low-profile ceramic keycaps.
Ceramic keycaps offer a cool-to-the-touch feel, a smooth surface, and a distinctive typing sound, but their weight and texture are very different from standard plastic keycaps.
It’s great that you can experience that unique “clacky” feel even in a low-profile setup.
Matte Black and Glossy White available for pre-order

For this pre-order, the new Zen75 batch is available in two colors: Matte Black and Glossy White.
It looks like other colors won’t be available, so keep that in mind.
Equipped with Kailh Firefly POM linear switches

The Zen75 comes with Kailh Firefly POM linear switches.
The Firefly switch is a full-POM low-profile switch developed by Cerakey and Kailh.
Two actuation forces are offered: 40 gf and 50 gf. The spacebar uses 50 gf, while all other keys use 40 gf switches.
This is likely due to the weight of the ceramic keycaps.
Since the spacebar is relatively long, it feels heavier as a result.
They probably use a heavier switch only for the spacebar to keep the spring return consistent.
Gasket mount and multi-layer foam structure

The Zen75 uses a gasket-mount design.
It’s described as combining multi-layer foams (IXPE, Poron, and EPDM) with a PVC damping film to absorb switch vibrations and deliver a smoother, more responsive keystroke.
For a low-profile board, it’s packed with quite a lot of foam—something you could see as tuning for ceramic keycaps.

A unique low-profile keyboard with ceramic keycaps
The Zen75 isn’t just a standard 75% low-profile keyboard.
The key point is that it pairs Cerakey’s signature ceramic keycaps with a low-profile keyboard.
Low-profile keyboards prioritize thinness and a light, snappy feel, but compared to standard-profile mechanical keyboards, they can sometimes feel lacking in typing feel and sound depth.
By leveraging the hardness, texture, and distinctive resonance of ceramic keycaps, the Zen75 may be aiming for a Cerakey-style typing experience despite being low-profile.
That said, ceramic keycaps differ from typical PBT/ABS keycaps in weight and surface feel.
The matte model feels a bit grippy on your fingers.
The glossy model can feel a bit slippery when your fingertips get damp.
Still, if you value that “clacky” sound above all, it seems well worth trying.
