What is being conducted this time is not a reservation process, but a survey to determine the product specifications.
You can respond even if you do not own a NocFree product.

Four Layout Options Including JIS Under Consideration
In the survey, you can select your usual keyboard layout from the following four options:
- ANSI
- ISO
- JIS
- KR
Proposed Lite V2 layouts will be displayed based on the layout you select.
Users can then rate the layout on a 5-point scale regarding its naturalness, suitability for daily use, and how it compares to the Lite V1.
Since JIS is listed as a separate option, it confirms that a Lite V2 for the Japanese market is among the development candidates.
However, please note that these layouts are at the survey stage and are not yet finalized for the production version.
We can freely express our opinions regarding the key layout proposal
For Lite V2, two options are presented for the placement of the space key and Fn key, and respondents can choose one of the following.
- Option A
- Option B
- No preference
Furthermore, you can individually select specific areas of the layout that feel awkward, such as:
- Around the space bar
- Left Shift
- Right Shift
- Arrow keys
- Modifier keys
- Symbol keys (e.g., “?”)
- Key spacing
- Other
NocFree explained that they are adjusting key positions for the Lite V2 based on feedback received from existing users.
Especially with split keyboards, the space key is sometimes split, with one side used as an Fn key or layer key.

Feedback on Preferred Pricing and Colors
Beyond the layout, the survey asks about purchase intent and preferred pricing for the Lite V2.
The price ranges presented are as follows:
- Under $150
- $150–$169
- $170–$189
- $190–$209
- $210 or more
This question is intended to gauge preferred price points and does not necessarily reflect the final retail price of the Lite V2.
The color options listed are White, Black, Midnight Blue, and Pink.
You can select up to 2 preferred colors, and you can also enter your own.
As of now, the official price and color lineup have not been announced.

Product testers are being recruited for all layouts: ANSI, ISO, JIS, and KR.
In the survey, you can select specific items you wish to test, such as daily typing, office work, gaming, long-term use, space bar placement, layout adaptation, and wireless connectivity.

Detailed Specifications for Lite V2 Not Yet Released
NocFree Lite is a normal-profile split keyboard with a 65％ row-staggered layout.
The original model supported USB wired and 2.4GHz wireless connections, featuring hot-swap support and keymap customization via Vial.
In contrast, the information currently available for the Lite V2 is primarily focused on layout proposals.
The following items have not yet been announced:
- Official retail price
- Release date
- Pre-order start date
- Case and internal structure
- Connection methods
- Battery capacity
- Key switch options
- Official sales regions for each layout
While NocFree states that “Lite V2 is getting closer,” they have not provided a specific release schedule.

As a 75％ low-profile split mechanical keyboard with a Japanese layout, it seems to be purchased by many people.
It has also obtained technical standards compliance certification, and I believe one reason for its popularity is that you can legally use the Japanese-layout split keyboard you had “envisioned”.
As for NocFree Lite, until now the lineup has only included ANSI layouts, but starting with V2, it may be expected to support local layouts, including Japanese.
