NocFree Lite V2 layout survey launches | JIS layout included, responses due September 6

On August 31, 2026, NocFree launched a user survey to finalize the layout of its split keyboard in development, the NocFree Lite V2.

The survey covers evaluation of ANSI, ISO, JIS, and KR layouts, as well as spacebar configuration, preferred pricing, and color options.

今回実施されているのは予約受付ではなく、製品仕様を決定するための意向調査です。

NocFree製品を所有していない場合も回答できます。

Four layout types under consideration, including JIS

The survey lets you select from four keyboard layouts you typically use:

• ANSI
• ISO
• JIS
• KR

Based on your selection, a corresponding Lite V2 layout proposal is displayed.

You then rate the layout’s naturalness, daily usability, and how it compares to Lite V1, using a five-point scale and similar metrics.

The inclusion of JIS as a standalone option confirms that a Japan-market Lite V2 is among the development candidates.

However, these are survey-stage layouts and have not been finalized as production specifications.

Lite V2では、スペースキーとFnキーの配置について2つの案が提示されており、回答者は次のいずれかを選択できます。

• Option A
• Option B
• Either is fine

Additionally, you can flag specific areas of the layout that feel awkward:

• Spacebar area
• Left Shift
• Right Shift
• Arrow keys
• Modifier keys
• Symbol keys such as “?”
• Key spacing
• Other

NocFree explains that it is adjusting Lite V2’s key positions based on feedback from existing users.

Preferred pricing and color options also included

The survey asks not only about layout but also about purchase intent and preferred pricing for Lite V2.

The price ranges presented are as follows:

• Under $150
• $150–$169
• $170–$189
• $190–$209
• $210 or more

This question asks for your preferred price range and does not indicate Lite V2’s actual selling price.

希望するカラーを最大2種類まで選択でき、自由記入も可能です。

Official pricing and color lineup have not been announced at this time.

Giveaway for survey respondents

By completing the survey and providing a valid email address, you become eligible for a giveaway.

Product testers are being recruited for ANSI, ISO, JIS, and KR layouts.

In the survey, you can select which aspects you’d like to test: daily typing, office work, gaming, extended use, spacebar placement, layout adaptation, wireless connectivity, and more.

Winners will be contacted via the email address entered during the survey.

Lite V2 detailed specs not yet announced

NocFree Liteは、65％ロウスタッガード配列を採用したノーマルプロファイル左右分割キーボードです。

The original model supports wired USB and 2.4 GHz wireless connectivity, and features hot-swap sockets and Vial-based keymap customization.

For Lite V2, the information released so far centers on layout proposals.

The following details have not yet been announced:

• Official selling price
• Release Date
• Pre-order start date
• Case and internal structure
• access method
• Battery capacity
• Key switch options
• Official sales regions for each layout

NocFree states that “Lite V2 is getting closer,” but has not provided a specific release schedule.
