The question is, in addition to the standard layout to be used for the new keyboard, is an HHKB layout necessary?
There are three choices: “I want it,” “I don’t need it,” and “I’d like to try it.”
From this question, it can probably be assumed that the new keyboard being prepared will be a 60% class model with a style that eliminates the “function key row.”
The differences between the two can be broadly divided into the following 5 points.
- Number of keys in the bottom row｜The 1 key on the far left and 2 keys on the far right are absent
- Right Shift｜Its length is 1.75u, and there is an Fn key to the right of the Right Shift key
- Number row｜The Backspace key is split into two and changed to the 「| \」「~
