Content Creation and Editorial Policy

This page describes the basic policy regarding the creation and editing of Greenkeys content.

1. basic information on media

  • Site name:Greenkeys
  • Operator: Ryosuke Kawamura (Representative of GreenEchoes Studio)
  • Site opening date: 2022
  • Objective: To deliver information that makes daily work and creation as comfortable as possible, focusing on the keyboard and input experience.

About Greenkeys

Greenkeys is a media company dedicated to bringing you information on keyboards and the typing experience to make your daily work and creation as comfortable as possible.

We believe that the value of a product cannot be told only by its specifications and numbers.

At Greenkeys, we emphasize the experience aspect, such as “how does it feel to actually use it?” and “how will it change my daily work and life?

The keyboard is a tool that is touched every day.

That is why at Greenkeys, we do not limit ourselves to introducing specifications, but also carefully convey the comfort, work efficiency, immersion, and enjoyment that these tools bring to the user.

In addition, Greenkeys is not just an information organizing media, but aims to deliver information to help readers make decisions through reviews, news, comparisons, interviews, and community observations.

Therefore, we may use expressions that involve a certain amount of heat or evaluation, but in doing so, we emphasize that the position, relationship, and monetization should be made as clear as possible to keep the reader in a position to make a decision.

2-1. The position of Greenkeys

Greenkeys is a media dedicated to conveying the appeal of the “entire keyboard culture” including finished keyboards, homemade keyboards, keycaps, sequences, and input environments.

We place importance on delivering the fun of keyboards broadly, including comfort of use, design philosophy, layout, and even changes in the input experience, rather than simply laying out product specifications and news.

On the other hand, Greenkeys is not an extension of a hobby, but an ongoing operating business.

Therefore, we do not aim to cover all topics with the same frequency and depth.

While taking into consideration editorial policy, coverage opportunities, operating costs, and continuity, we select themes that are meaningful to communicate now, and organize and disseminate them from our own unique perspective.

This may make finished keyboards, manufacturer information, information via distributors, and articles based on review requests appear more heavily weighted

However, that does not mean that only certain areas are targeted.

Greenkeys transmits shades of each theme in order to deliver value on an ongoing basis with limited resources, while respecting the keyboard culture as a whole.

We believe that finished keyboards and homemade keyboards are not two separate worlds, but rather two entities that have enriched the input experience by influencing each other.

Greenkeys will translate the context and appeal between the two and communicate them in a way that reaches a wider audience.

3. scope of topics to be covered

The themes addressed by Greenkeys extend from the keyboard to areas related to the input experience and work environment.

3-1. Core Areas

  • Keyboards (split, self-made, commercial)
  • Keyswitches, keycaps
  • Input devices such as trackballs and mice
  • Arrangement, layout, input method
  • Keyboard culture and community movement

These are the central themes of Greenkeys and will be treated with the greatest emphasis.

3-2. Peripheral areas supporting the input experience

  • Wrist Rest, Stand, Cable
  • USB hubs and desk accessories
  • Items related to posture and work efficiency

Even if it is not the keyboard itself, we will actively address anything that affects comfort and work efficiency.

3-3. Outer edge area handled as needed

  • (computer) monitor
  • mainframe PC
  • Tablets and smartphones
  • Equipment for the overall work environment

We may handle areas that are not directly tied to the keyboard, but that we determine will improve the input or work environment.

4. article type and expression policy

Greenkeys produces content primarily in the following formats, depending on the nature of the article

  • News
organizes the movements of new product announcements, launches, specification changes, domestic developments, price revisions, event information, etc. to help readers make decisions.
  • Product Reviews
Based on actual equipment use and ongoing verification, we evaluate the feel, keystrokes, configuration, completeness, and who is and is not suited for the product.
  • The guide
covers articles that help readers understand and select the right product, including comparisons, how to choose, how to organize specifications, and how to implement the product.
  • Columns
covers articles that include the author’s views on market trends, array culture, and input experience considerations and issues.
  • The project
deals with the author’s involvement in independent activities, planning, supervision, and ongoing initiatives, including the Japan Layout Alliance (JLA).

For the above five items, we have shifted to a policy of clearly indicating at the beginning of the article which genre the target content belongs to.

(Operation will start from the content updated on March 13, 2026)

Greenkeys does not aim to make all articles appear colorless.

While we may use expressions of appreciation or enthusiasm for a product or initiative, our basic policy is to design our articles in such a way that they convey to the reader the nature of the article, our position, our involvement, and whether or not we are monetizing the product.

5. basic stance on article production

At Greenkeys, we value the following ideas

Ensuring Independence

The articles are planned, edited, and written by the person in charge of operations, and the content of the articles themselves are not dictated by external sponsors or business partners.

Emphasis on accuracy

Primary information (official releases, official websites, interviews, interviews, official SNS posts, etc.) will be checked whenever possible to avoid misinformation and excessive speculation.

Communicate around the experience

We will focus on the changes the product will bring and who the product is suitable for.

Specifications and features are treated as information that supports the experience.

Prioritize helping readers make decisions.

Rather than simply introducing the product favorably, we will try to include the basis for the evaluation, compatibility with the application, and possible weaknesses and prerequisites.

Ensure transparency of positions

In addition to handling reviews and news, Greenkeys may have industry contacts such as product offerings, affiliates, supervision, original projects, and JLAs.

Therefore, we emphasize the importance of clearly stating the relationship within the article, if necessary, so that the reader understands the premise before reading it.

Renewal Policy

If information becomes outdated, it will be updated or corrected as necessary.

News content may not be updated in order to maintain the current state of breaking news at the time it is posted.

If the content handled is secondary information, the accuracy of the primary information takes precedence.

Content Correction

When errors or factual errors are corrected, the date and time of the correction will be added at the end of the text.

Please use the inquiry form to point out errors or provide information.

6. why we deal with news

Greenkeys covers news as well as reviews.

One reason for this is to avoid biasing our media vision toward any particular product or company.

Reviews alone can appear to be “specific manufacturer-centric media” triggered by offerings and tie-ins.

By dealing with news on an ongoing basis, we hope to show that we are looking at not only specific products, but also at the industry as a whole and how the market is changing.

In addition, information in the keyboard area is easily dispersed, and there are not many places where it is continuously organized in Japanese.

Greenkeys also hopes to serve as an information hub to help readers keep track of new products, specification changes, price revisions, event information, and domestic developments.

While news may not generate direct revenue in some respects, we believe it is an important initiative that supports our credibility and continuity as a media outlet.

7. what Greenkeys treats as news

Greenkeys does not mechanically convert every topic into news.

We will focus on those items that are likely to help readers make decisions and those that are meaningful in understanding industry trends.

The main topics to be covered include

  • Announcement and launch of new products
  • Important changes in array, supported OS, connection method, specifications, etc.
  • Movements related to purchase decisions, such as price revisions, changes in sales methods, and the start of crowdfunding
  • Information that will have a significant impact on domestic users, such as the start of handling in Japan, development of distributors, acquisition of technical qualification, JIS layout support, etc.
  • Event hosting and exhibiting, topics that make sense as community and industry trends
  • Topics that Greenkeys has independently determined to be of value

On the other hand, the following will not, as a rule, be considered stand-alone news articles

  • Only teaser postings with little information on the topic
  • Announcement of only additional color variations with scant substantive changes
  • One-off sale information only, with little ongoing value or decision-making power
  • One-off social networking posts that are unlikely to lead to reader decision-making or market understanding

At Greenkeys, news is selected based on whether the information makes sense to read, rather than on “getting it out quickly” per se.

8. coverage and writing system

All articles are reported and written by the author (Ryosuke Kawamura).

The main methods of coverage are as follows

  • Direct interviews with manufacturers/dealers
  • Organize press releases and official information
  • On-site coverage at exhibitions and events
  • Actual product purchase and review of offerings

For each article, we may specify the “date of interview, date of writing, and method of interview” if necessary.

8-1. Comparative Review Policy

Greenkeys complies with the following requirements when making comparisons with other companies’ products in its product reviews, based on the Consumer Affairs Agency’s “Idea under the Act Against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations Concerning Comparative Advertising”.

Objective demonstration

Performance figures and research results that can be used as the basis for comparison should be based on third-party data, actual test results, or other established methods that can be verified. Wherever possible, they will be supported by photographs, spec tables, source links, etc.

Exact Citation.

Accurately cite substantiated facts and figures and clearly state the research methodology. We do not arbitrarily excerpt only a portion of the data, but properly present the whole picture.

Fair Method

Comparisons will be selected with a focus on products that are similar in category, price range, and application to avoid unfair comparisons. In addition to advantages, relevant disadvantages will also be clearly indicated.

Explicit subjective evaluation

If a subjective evaluation, such as keystroke feel or ease of use, is included, this should be indicated in the article so that it can be understood.

prevention of violations

No comparisons will be made that do not meet the above requirements, and additions or corrections will be made as necessary.

8-2. Disclosure of PR and Offerings

Articles using products provided free of charge for promotional purposes by a company or other entity should be clearly stated in a prominent position in the article in the form of “#PR,” “review of provided product,” “conflict of interest: product provided,” etc., in accordance with stealth marketing regulations.

When making comparisons in articles using provided products, we will also apply the above comparative review policy and avoid arbitrary expressions that may appear to favor the provider.

Even when affiliate links are included, independence will be maintained so that comparative content and ratings are not influenced by the presence or absence of revenue.

9. advertising and revenue

This site may contain links to performance-based advertising (affiliate links).

The presence or absence of advertising links will be clearly indicated in the article, if necessary.
If a product is provided for review, this will be clearly stated in the article.
The presence or absence of advertising or product offerings does not automatically affect the content of an article’s rating.

Although Greenkeys is a media outlet with a commercial nature, we will avoid hiding the presence of advertising and monetization or guiding the reader’s judgment while keeping the nature of the article ambiguous.
Even when evaluation, referral, and monetization exist simultaneously, the relationships should be made as explicit as possible, and the emphasis should be on the reader’s understanding of the premise.

10. handling of Conflict of Interest

Any special relationship between the author or operation and the company or product, such as product provision, sponsorship, contribution, supervision, operation of a proprietary standard, proprietary project, or sale of the company’s own products, will be clearly indicated in the article.

Even in cases where a conflict of interest cannot be completely avoided, our basic policy is to disclose the relationship in a manner that is understood by the reader, rather than hiding it.

Greenkeys may also feature articles about initiatives and projects in which the author is involved.

In doing so, we will not present it as a third-party, completely neutral review, but rather organize it as involved content and ensure that the nature of the article is conveyed to the reader.

11. relationship with JLA (Japan Layout Alliance) and other independent activities

Greenkeys may undertake its own initiatives to organize the keyboard market and improve compatibility.

One of the best examples is the Japan Layout Alliance (JLA ).

When involved in such independent activities, supervision or planning, Greenkeys will not conceal the fact.

On the other hand, in reviews and news, we will try to separate the product, specifications, compatibility, and what it means to the user, rather than basing our evaluation on the philosophy of the original activity itself.

For example, even when introducing a JLA-compliant structure, we do not treat it uniformly as “superior because it is JLA,” but rather organize it from the following four perspectives and treat it as a factor in the reader’s decision.

  • Which specifications are followed?
  • What does it make it easier to check?
  • Which users does it make sense for?

12. citation and reference

When citing external official information or other media articles, the source should be clearly indicated and a link should be provided whenever possible.

When citing social networking posts, etc., the source account and date and time should be included.

Quotations will be made appropriately to the extent necessary, taking into consideration copyright laws and other relevant laws and regulations.

13. engagement with readers

Error suggestions and comments from readers will be taken seriously and corrected as necessary.

For comments and requests, please use the inquiry form.

It may be difficult to respond to all communications. Please understand that it may be difficult to respond to all communications.

14. handling of third-party works and generated AI material

Greenkeys respects copyrights and other intellectual property rights in the production of articles and the dissemination of information on social networking sites.

To this end, the following policies are established as equivalent to the Editorial and Publication Guidelines.

14-1. Obligation to identify third-party works

When creating articles or content, we will make sure that third-party images, videos, texts, etc. to be quoted, introduced, reprinted, or embedded have the permission of the original copyright holder or a legitimate basis for use.

14-2. Handling of processed materials by generation AI

Images, videos, audio, and other materials by generated AI posted by third parties will not be used or introduced as content on this site if the rights status of the original work is unclear or if the permission of the original copyright holder cannot be confirmed.

14-3. What to do in case of doubt

In the event that unauthorized use of third-party copyrighted material or suspected infringement of rights is confirmed after publication, this site will immediately close the relevant content to the public and confirm the facts. If necessary, we will contact the parties concerned and take measures such as modification or deletion.

14-4. Ensuring Transparency

If there is a possibility that an infringement of rights may have occurred in error, we will respond in a transparent manner, clearly indicating this to readers and other concerned parties, and disclosing the circumstances of the correction.

14-5. preventive measure

The editorial team will continually review the rights verification process and ensure source control of images, video, and generated AI material. Compliance with this policy is required even when there are contributors.
