On April 5, 2026, foostan, the creator of the “Corne” split column-staggered keyboard, updated his X account to share a teaser for a new product.
The post, captioned “the new product,” includes a single teaser image.

The Greenkeys editorial team predicts this is an inner-side view of the left half of a Corne equipped with Ultra Low Profile switches, though foostan has not yet officially revealed the name or specifications.
Let’s compare it with actual photos.

On the left side of the posted image, we can see what looks like the 1.5u thumb cluster characteristic of the Corne.
The different shape in the center suggests that the two central keys introduced in the Corne v4 may have been removed, resulting in a slimmer outer profile.

Additionally, the absence of the TRS cable port usually found in the center suggests that a different method might be used for the connection between the two halves.
While there aren’t many options for keyboards with Ultra Low Profile switches yet, commercial examples like the Barocco Mistel AIRONE RGB BT do exist.

We’re looking forward to seeing what foostan’s new product has in store.
