What is Agar Micro

Agar Micro is a 40% ergo keyboard that inherits the design of KBDfans’ Agar series.

When it comes to 40% Alice layouts, I was reminded of HareWorks’ two40.

It’s a highly aesthetic keyboard that combines the curved case design characteristic of the Agar series with a compact layout.

The typing angle is fixed at 7 degrees.

The rabbit-inspired design is striking, and the way it peeks out from the center is adorable.

The back weight can be selected from either PVD stainless steel or tricolor aluminum inspired by a rabbit’s nose.

The mounting method is PCB gasket mount.

It’s a top-mounted type, but the previous two models had issues with insufficient holding force, causing the PCB to come loose when turned upside down.

It will be worth watching how this has been resolved.

This is the third model in the Agar series, with the standard Agar (60% layout) and Agar mini (40% layout) already available.

15 Case Colors, with Even More Variations Through Bottom Weight Combinations

Currently, 15 case colors can be confirmed.

Furthermore, based on the images, it appears that additional options are available through combinations with the bottom weight.

This is going to be a tough choice.

Three PCB Options Available

On the product page, the following PCB options can be confirmed.

The Solder PCB is listed as VIA compatible.

On the other hand, the Dual-mode Hotswap version is confirmed to be ZMK compatible.

Note that on the product page, the Solder PCB and Dual-mode Hotswap versions appear to have LED indicators only, not RGB underglow.

Agar Micro is expected to offer custom configuration options.

It appears that the weight bar, plate, PCB, foam kit, battery, LED Indicator Blocker, and more can be customized.
