This update is not just a new product announcement, but rather a comprehensive overview of Mode’s entire Spring/Summer 2026 collection progress.
Monterey/Cacao Keycaps Currently Shipping Pre-Orders

Mode has announced that the Monterey and Cacao keycap sets are currently in fulfillment.
After pre-order shipments are completed, both sets are planned to transition to in-stock sales.
For users who have already pre-ordered, this confirms that shipments are in progress. For those looking to purchase, it means there may be an opportunity to buy from stock after pre-orders are processed.
Additionally, the Lotus and Obscura keycap sets are scheduled to open for pre-order in late summer alongside Prologue, as mentioned below.
Currently, Obscura is available for purchase, but Lotus is out of stock.

Sonnet 2026 in Fulfillment, Limited In-Stock Sales After Completion

Sonnet 2026 is currently in fulfillment, with shipments progressing to customers who placed orders.
After pre-order shipments are completed, Sonnet is planned to return as a limited in-stock sales model.
According to Mode’s announcement, each colorway from Spring/Summer 2026 will be available again as ready-to-ship in-stock items.
For users who missed the pre-order, this summer’s in-stock sales will be an opportunity to acquire one.
Encore 2026 Scheduled to Ship in Late July

Encore 2026 is scheduled to ship in late July after Sonnet pre-order fulfillment is completed.
Like Sonnet, each colorway will be available as in-stock sales after pre-order shipments are completed.
Both Sonnet and Encore are shown to be transitioning from pre-order to in-stock sales, making the timing of stock availability important for users considering the Spring/Summer 2026 collection.
The new Encore with the crown mounting system is very exciting.

Prologue in Development as a 98% Keyboard

The most notable part of this update is the new model in development, “Prologue.”
In the latest prototype, major design decisions were tested, particularly regarding the crown mounting system layout. After testing 10-point and 8-point support configurations, the 8-point support approach was ultimately chosen.
The reason given is that the 8-point support was more favorable in terms of sound while still providing a sufficiently supported feel.
Currently, the next prototyping round is underway, incorporating refinements to hardware, materials, and internal structure. Once everything meets Mode’s standards, production will proceed, with pre-orders expected to open in late summer.
Envoy Silver Mirror/Mirage Final Stock

For Envoy, it has been announced that stock of Silver Mirror and Mirage is running low.
They are currently available for purchase and ready to ship on the official site, but no restocks are planned after sellout.
For users who have been eyeing Envoy, this update essentially serves as a last-chance notice.
Summary
That covers the Mode Summer 2026 Update.
Looking at these updates, it’s notable that Mode Designs doesn’t just end with pre-orders for existing fans, but clearly transitions to limited in-stock sales after fulfillment, creating an accessible purchasing environment for new fans as well.
Both Sonnet 2026 and Encore 2026 are planned to return to in-stock sales after pre-order fulfillment is completed.
In the custom keyboard world, missing the timing of a group buy or pre-order often makes acquisition difficult, so having a period where items are available again as in-stock sales improves accessibility.
On the other hand, some Spring/Summer 2026 colors appear to be scheduled for replacement as the Fall/Winter 2026 collection launches.
If there’s a colorway you’re interested in, it would be wise to check the timing of this summer’s stock availability.
As always, Mode Designs has an outstanding presence.
There’s much to look forward to.
