The 75% and 96% layout Halo keyboards have been released as v2, and this 65% unit will be the last to be released.
Perhaps the most significant change compared to V1 is the change in mounting method.
By adopting the “gasket mount” that has become mainstream in the keyboard world recently, V2 is a shift in policy toward a Thocky direction, whereas the previous model was relatively Clacky.
KawamuraIt looks like a PCB gasket mount, not a switch plate gasket mount.
In addition, the amount of sound-absorbing material has been greatly increased to accommodate this change, and a quiet linear “Blush Max” switch is now available as an option to meet office needs.
The keymap changes are not made by NuPhy IO, but by the conventional VIA.
The keycaps have also been brushed up in small details, such as the change to “mSA” keycaps, which are characterized by a depressed center.
The 65% size has no function keys and must be operated by simultaneously pressing the Fn key, making it a relatively “expert” size.
