On December 11, 2024, NuPhy Japan updated its official X to announce that nuphy.io, its keymap editing software that runs in a web browser, has been updated.

The content of this update is that “Special Characters” can now be selected when setting ModTap.
As for this modification, it appears that the NuPhy Official has “lifted the restriction,” as was noted in a series of posts by NuPhy Japan on November 11, 2024.
I actually checked and set the UI while looking at it, and sure enough, the “Special Character” section is activated.
