March 15, 2023, DiaTech, Inc. announced the Patch Keycap series of replacement keycaps for the Majestouch MINILA-R Convertible.
A total of four models are available, each priced at 4,980 yen (tax included).
At this time, only direct stores are available for purchase.
The new products are available in white and sky gray, each with English and Japanese layouts.
The Japanese layout has 66 keys and the English layout has 63 keys, both of which are compatible with FILCO MINILA-R only.
MINILA-R is based on a 60% layout, but the layout itself is a special layout, different from that of a typical keyboard, and is not nearly as versatile, giving the impression that it is only a dedicated replacement keycap.
This beautiful two-color forming keycap is unique to FILCO, and I personally would have liked it to be more versatile.

Two-color molding is a technology in which the lettering on the keycap is first molded in resin and then combined with the base part and molded again. The keycap is formed like a Kintarome (candy), so that the printing will not be erased.
