On March 16, 2026, Sanyo Godo Kaisha, Ltd. announced the launch of the Lofree “1970s” series in Japan at Lofree Japan.

According to an announcement in PR TIMES, sales will begin on March 16, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. and shipping is scheduled to begin in early April.
The two products that will be available in Japan are the Tri-Mode Wireless Mechanical Keyboard “1970s” and the “1970s Bluetooth Mouse”.

As the name suggests, this year’s “1970s” series features a retro worldview inspired by American design of the 1970s.
Available in two colors, olive and milkshake, the design with its subdued coloring and matte texture at the forefront seems to be a very Lofree-like direction.
It can be said that many people are likely to be attracted to this new product first by its appearance, rather than by its strong push for specifications.
The “1970s” keyboard is an English-language model with an 84-key, 75% layout.

Supports three-mode connectivity: Bluetooth 5.3, 2.4GHz wireless, and USB-C wired, with up to three devices switchable via Bluetooth.
Available for Windows, Android, macOS, iPadOS, and iOS.
In addition, it features gasket-mounted construction, hot-swappable, Full POM Lofree x GATERON linear switches, and supports 1000 Hz polling rates for 2.4 GHz connections or wired connections.

While the model appears to be design-oriented, the connectivity and basic specifications are quite modern.
Equipped with a 4000mAh battery, the device is guided for approximately 30 hours of continuous use with the backlight on maximum and approximately 14 days with all lights off.
The Lofree Japan product page lists the product at 17,600 yen including tax, with an estimated shipping date of early April and a technical certification number of R001-A20940.
The “1970s Bluetooth Mouse” is a wireless mouse with a wave-shaped button design reminiscent of a potato chip and a rounded ergonomic shape.

Supports Bluetooth and 2.4GHz two-mode connections; does not support wired connections.
It is also reported to support two device connections, five levels of DPI adjustment, and multi-gesture operation with a thumbwheel and buttons.

The main specifications of the mouse are: size 108 x 63 x 34 mm, weight 98 g, DPI of 800 / 1200 / 1600 / 2400 / 3600, battery capacity of 800 mAh, and continuous use for up to 50 days.
Lofree Japan lists it at 9,900 yen including tax, and the expected shipping date for this item is also scheduled for early April.
The technical certification number is R020-240268.
Although the keyboards can stand alone, many people may be interested in the series, including the sense of unity when the keyboards are combined together.
The “1970s” series is easier to understand when viewed as a new Lofree product, which emphasizes ambience and tool-like appearance on the desk, rather than in the context of so-called spec competition.
The keyboard is a very popular item in the market. The keyboard is particularly noteworthy in that its domestic price is set at 17,600 yen including tax, while keeping practical elements such as 75% layout, hot-swapping, and 3-mode connection.
This new product may be of interest to those who want to choose an input environment that includes the overall feel of the desk setup.
