The length notation of the space bar in the HHKB Studio Kit is corrected.

On November 29, 2024, Keyreative corrected the space bar size description on the HHKB Studio Kit, a set of replacement keycaps for the HHKB Studio that the company has been selling since October 25.

The corrected image is shown below.

The “u” is a unit of length. Length derived from the yard-pound system. The “c” is an abbreviation for “convex,” referring to a key with a raised center.

Previously, the length of the space bar was described as “6.25u”, which has been corrected to “6u”.

This case is simply a “typographical error” and the original size is “6u”.
The HHKB Studio’s space bar is particularly special, with a length of 6u, but the stabilizer (the part that supports the long keycaps from both ends) is 6.25u wide, which is one size larger, and this is why it was difficult to create.

The HHKB Studio Kit is a project planned by GreenEchoes Studio, operated by Greenkeys, and manufactured and sold by Keyreative, and Sanyo Godo Kaisha became the distributor on November 28, 2024.
