Both of Nomad [E]’s early bird rates run out instantly.
I was also careless.
Maybe it was “daylight savings time” there, and the release notification came at 2:00 AM…
We knew that the release would begin at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on May 25, 2023, which translates to 3:00 a.m. Japan time on May 26, 2023.
I woke up early and looked at the crowdfunding site…the early bird discount had been wiped out.
I think it was about 3:10 a.m. at this time.
In just over an hour, a total of 300 super-early-bird and early-bird tickets were sold.
I knew it would be popular, but I had no idea it would be this popular…!

Extended functions such as Pomodoro Timer available on the display to the left of the keyboard
We are not talking about keyboards from the beginning.
The Nomad E has a 1.9″ IPS display on the left side of the keyboard with a “Pomodoro Timer” available on the display screen.
A 2018 study published in the Journal of Applied Biobehavioral Research found that a work and break methodology known as the Pomodoro Technique is effective in reducing procrastination and significantly improving time management skills.
omission (of middle part of a text)
The concept is simple: work for 25 minutes, rest for 5 minutes, repeat. Once in the zone, adjust the work/rest intervals to your specific flow state.
The display will be available with a variety of extensions, which at this time include a clock, Pomodoro timer, and Tamagotchi (!?). are planned for the future.
All keyboards are remappable
Nomad E can easily change the key mappings using software called Input.
It is attractive because it can be operated intuitively with no coding knowledge required.
In addition, 16 MB of onboard memory is provided, and keyboard operation does not change even if the PC is changed, as keymaps are stored on the unit.
Newly designed keycaps with spherical design|Gateron Low-Profile 2.0 keyswitch
The Nomad E has a newly designed keycap.
Until then, the company had used choc v1 standard key switches, but from this time on, they have adopted Cherry MX standard Gateron Low-Profile 2.0 key switches, and the keycaps have been newly designed together with the keycaps.
The keyswitch uses the newly developed Atomic (37 g of pressure / linear axis), which is hot-swappable and can be easily replaced with NuPhy’s Wisteria/Daisy/Aloe or Gateron’s original one.
The keycaps have a spherical design with the alpha key depressed in the center and the mod key flat, which makes it possible to identify the keys not only visually but also tactilely.

Supports ISO as well as ANSI
Nomad E is available not only in the globally popular ANSI (US Array), but also in ISO Array.
At the time of release, Italian, French, German, and Spanish are supported, and Japanese models will be available in the future.
Multi-OS support
The keys are all printed in Mac notation, but of course they are also compatible with Windows/iOS/Linux, and replacement keycaps are included accordingly.
I am happy about this!
Supports up to 3 wireless connections
Nomad E can connect to up to three devices using Bluetooth.
This is good news for users who dislike wired connections because they detract from the appearance of their desks.
Upgraded from 3 colors to 4 colors
Four colors are available: “Graphite” with a black base, “Chalk” with a silver body, and “Atomic (black skeleton/purple skeleton)” with a skeleton body.
What is very Work louder is Atomic, so this one is likely to be the most popular.
In addition, since the support amount has reached its goal, Atomic’s purple color is now available as an option.
Limited colors will be available for selection after funding is provided.
summary
This is our update on the crowdfunding status of Nomad E.
It’s extremely popular because it’s a low-profile mechanical keyboard that is very well designed worldwide and easy for Mac users to replace!
As for Worl louder, we have released keyboards with a grid layout in the past, but they are still not far behind the rowstaggered layout in terms of requiring “familiarity”.
