April 23, 2024, Lowprokb, a Canada-based manufacturer of keyboard-related products, will begin selling its new Ambients Silent Choc Switches key switches.
Two types of linear switches will be sold: ” TWILIGHT ” with 35gf push pressure and ” NOCTURNAL” with 20gf push pressure, and ” SUNRISE ” with 40gf push pressure will be sold at a later date.
The price is $9.00 for a package of ten. ($=155 yen equivalent, about 1,400 yen)
Since the products are always in stock, they are not expected to be sold through the pre-order or GB method, but through the regular sales method.
The sales will probably start at local time, so if the sales start at midnight Vancouver time on April 23, the sales will start at 4:00 p.m. Japan time on April 23.
However, if it is released in local business time (let’s say 10:00 a.m.), it is likely to be delayed to the 24th in Japan time.

The product is a Kailh choc v1 standard key switch, and its most important feature is that it is “silent”.
The choc v1 standard switches had a loud “click-clack” sound when struck, making it difficult to use them in a quiet office.
This is expected to be a long-awaited “quiet switch” for fans, and is expected to be popular.
The product will be sold by vendors around the world, in addition to the original Canadian vendor, but the vendor’s sales schedule has not been announced.
