On April 7, 2026, beekeeb.jp updated its official X account to announce the sale of a new lightweight version of its 19mm trackball.
Made of resin, the trackball is available in two colors, “Murasaki-imo” (Purple Yam) and “Ginnezu” (Silver Gray), priced at ¥1,480 (tax included) each.
Currently listed as “Pre-order,” it is scheduled to arrive between late May and early June, with shipping to follow sequentially.
The key feature is a weight reduction of approximately 14g compared to the existing “Replacement Ball for 19mm Trackballs.”
The 19mm trackball is increasingly being used in the custom keyboard community, and posts on X show enthusiasts purchasing them as replacement balls.
Additionally, the official website has noted that the “Dark Gray” 19mm trackball may not track properly depending on the sensor used; as such, the tracking accuracy of the new product with various sensors is currently unconfirmed.
Since it began carrying the Toucan, beekeeb.jp has been expanding its product lineup to cater to custom keyboard enthusiasts, and this latest addition can be seen as part of that effort.
