Two case options: Semi-Aluminum and Full-Aluminum

Geonix Rev.2.5 comes in two case options: Semi-Aluminum and Full-Aluminum.
The Semi-Aluminum version is designed with light transmission in mind, making the side RGB lighting look more vivid.
Even in the teaser released earlier, the translucent top cover and perimeter RGB effects stood out.

Meanwhile, the Full-Aluminum version follows a more solid, traditional all-metal direction.
It looks like you can choose Semi-Aluminum if you want to enjoy the RGB look, or Full-Aluminum if you prioritize that premium metal-case feel.
Spacebar layout: choose Dual 1U or 2U

With Geonix Rev.2.5, you can choose Dual 1U or 2U for the layout around the spacebar.
This is probably the biggest change from Rev.2.
Chosfox says that based on feedback from past Rev.2 users, they continued optimizing around the 2U stabilizer and also introduced a Dual 1U version.
On compact keyboards, the layout around the spacebar has a big impact on usability. Choosing a unified 2U spacebar or splitting it into Dual 1U affects layer usage and how you use your thumb keys.
Especially on mini keyboards, comfort changes a lot depending on how you use the keys around your thumbs.
Offering both Dual 1U and 2U on the Geonix Rev.2.5 is an important option to accommodate different user preferences.
LCK / LAK keycaps available

There are two keycap options: LCK and LAK.
LCK keycaps combine transparent PC material with UV printing.
They’re designed to emphasize light transmission for brighter RGB, and should pair well with the glowing case look of the Semi-Aluminum version.
LAK keycaps combine PBT material with dye-sublimation printing.
They’re positioned as a choice that prioritizes durability and long-lasting legends, making them a good option for users who want a more subdued feel.
While the size is the same, LCK has a spherical design with a concave center, while LAK has a cylindrical design, so the fingertip feel is clearly different.
If you usually use cylindrical-style keycaps like Cherry Profile, LAK may feel more natural under your fingers.
Vial support and tri-mode connectivity
Geonix Rev.2.5 is listed as supporting Vial and Tri-mode connectivity.
With Vial support, it’s easier to customize keymaps and layer settings.
On compact keyboards, you often rely on layers to make up for the limited number of keys, so adding Vial support—where settings like Mod-Tap and combos are easy to configure—is a big step forward.
It also supports tri-mode connectivity, letting you switch between multiple connection methods.
This is also a point worth checking for users who want to use a compact keyboard not only at a desk, but also on the go or across multiple devices.
Choose from 5 Kailh Choc V2 switch types

You can choose from five Kailh Choc V2 switch options.
The options shown on the product page are White Rain / Black Cloud / Deep Sea Silent Linear / Deep Sea Silent Tactile / Crystal.
The lineup lets you choose based on whether you prioritize smooth linear feel, quietness, or tactile feedback.
With a daughterboard design and all, it definitely makes you curious about what the typing feel is like.

Wrap-up | Worth considering if you’re drawn to the compact look
That’s the latest news on the release of the Chosfox Geonix Rev 2.5.
Being able to buy it at this price with an aluminum/PC case plus keycaps and switches included is impressive.
For anyone interested in compact keyboards, it’s a very solid option to consider.
Also, while it’s not highlighted much on the official site, the beauty of the case sculpting is worth paying attention to.
The clean, linear design on the back in particular is striking.

It also looks like a great pick as a starter ortholinear (grid-layout) keyboard.
