On October 29, 2026, Chosfox introduced the features and size options of its RAK low-profile keycaps on its official X account.
The published images state that the keycaps use PBT with a matte finish and come in seven sizes, from 1u to 2.75u.
A Not-Too-Deep Spherical Profile, Also Shown at TKX2026
RAK is a set of keycaps that was also fitted to a 50% ortholinear keyboard at TKX2026.
When I saw them at the venue, what stood out was their spherical profile, with a dish that isn’t too deep where your fingertips rest.
They also seem well suited to people who type by sliding their fingers across the keys rather than sinking their fingertips deep into the center of each key.
It’s an interesting shape not just for its low profile, but also for how your fingers move between keys.
Seven Sizes from 1u to 2.75u
| Size | Width shown in published images |
|---|---|
| 1u | 18.1mm |
| 1.25u | 22.6mm |
| 1.5u | 27.1mm |
| 1.75u | 31.7mm |
| 2u | 36.2mm |
| 2.25u | 40.7mm |
| 2.75u | 50mm |
The official images show the keycaps in white and black.
Since sizes other than 1u are available, they also seem likely to work with row-staggered keyboards, not just ortholinear layouts.
Awaiting More on Pricing and Sales Details
The announcement reviewed here did not provide details on pricing, the start of sales, or compatible switches.
Even at the same height, low-profile keycaps can feel different under your fingertips.
It will be worth watching for more details on how RAK will be sold.
