On March 20, 2024, GreenEchoes Studio, operator of GreenKeys, began a business partnership with Cerakey, a China-based keycap manufacturing brand, through advertising.
Cerakey is the first brand in the world to use ceramics material for keycap material.
The crowdfunding campaign launched in 2022 was a success, and the product has become a favorite among users around the world due to its unique tactile and keystroke feel.

Change from First Lot V1 to V2|What is its evolutionary point?
Many of you may have heard of Cerakey through the crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter in 2022.
The initial lot model we purchased at the time had major problems with the accuracy of the cross stem.
The problem was that “all keycaps were made of ceramics,” and the cross-shaped grooves that fit into the keyswitches were not precise enough to fit easily into the keyswitches.
In fact, the first lot I purchased had such specifications.
There were also problems with strength, and there were many problems with keycaps cracking when removing them from the keyswitches.
However, from V2, only the cross stem portion was changed to plastic.
This improves the durability and stability of the keycaps and eliminates all V1-like defects.
Features a hard keystroke sound and unique tactile typing experience
A key feature of Cerakey is its unique keystroke and tactile feel.
First of all, heavy ceramic keycaps sound quite “heavy” and “hard”.
Although it may not be to everyone’s taste, the high notes mixed in with the solid typing sound are quite dependable.
Another favorite point is the “china-like” cool feel unique to ceramics.
In addition, we believe that the beautiful marble-like luster that only the material can produce has an appeal that attracts everyone.
Cerakey Issues
One of the challenges for Cerakey is the price.
A full set of 114 keys is $126.00, which is not inexpensive.
However, given its appeal, I think it is well worth it.
We plan to negotiate with Cerakey to prepare more attractive content.
