The Classic Type-S Is Worth a Look for Wired Use
If you’re looking to use a quiet model over USB, the Classic Type-S is also worth considering.
It features the same Type-S key structure and keymap customization as higher-end models, and is on sale for ¥26,400 (tax included).
If you don’t need Bluetooth connectivity, it’s priced to make it an easy option to consider.
If you want wireless connectivity, consider the HYBRID Type-S; if you’d also like a pointing stick and gesture pad, consider the Studio. Choose according to how you plan to use it.
A Gift Offer Is Also Available for the Japanese-Layout HYBRID Type-S
A gift campaign is also being promoted for the Japanese-layout, printed HHKB Professional HYBRID Type-S models in Charcoal, White, and Snow: a set of Japanese-layout blank keycaps in White.
The campaign runs from October 1 through December 25, 2026, and PFU Direct’s Amazon store is an eligible retailer. One set is included with each eligible keyboard and delivered together with it.
Blank keyboards are also included in the sale, but the gift is for Japanese-layout models with legends only.
