On May 22, 2024, XYZA Corporation (XYZA) announced in a press release, “You can DIY! Shiro” XA-CC3WH (set of 3) and XA-CC10WH (set of 10).

The new model is a different color from the black model previously featured on this site.

Unlike the previous product, Shiro has been improved so that the backlight LEDs on the keyboard are transparent, allowing users to enjoy the lighting. (Transparency varies depending on the printed and inserted key tops.)

Perhaps the greatest feature of the product is that it allows users to easily create their own keytops.

The transparent cover on the base Cherry MX compatible keycap can be removed, and by processing the template provided separately at the time of purchase, it is possible to create keytops with your own favorite pattern and enclose them.

Printing is possible not only on the key tops but also on the sides, so you will be able to experience a pseudo 5-sided dye-sublimation printing.

Key profiles are not specified, but the flat top profile allows for placement of keys without concern for their position.

It is mainly intended for use with QMK/VIA-compatible macro pads as well as the company’s Tinykeyboard series of 3-button keyboards.

It would also fit the DOIO KB16 that has been the talk of the town lately.

The following are some of the specific situations in which they are expected to be used.

It can be used in a wide range of fields, including media and animation video editors, medical medical-related, welfare and disability, surveys and quizzes, etc.
It is highly versatile and recommended for gaming keyboards and other applications.
