• Keyboardio version of Preonic sold by OLKB in cooperation with Drop
• No assembly required as this is a full assembly kit, not a DIY kit
• Unlike the previous Preonic, it has a 50% grid layout, plus two additional keys and a rotary encoder in the upper right corner.
• Keyboard frame is black anodized aluminum body
• The back is made of transparent ABS, allowing the circuit board to be seen.
• Supports wired/wireless connection (BT)
• Supports keymap changes, but uses the company’s Kaleidoscope firmware instead of VIA’s, and uses a web app called “Chrysalis” to make the changes.
• Kaleidoscope firmware is open source and GitHub-able if you want to customize it
• Chrysalis is also open source
• Keycaps are DSA profile with spherical design, material is PBT, and legend is laser engraved.
• Two split space bars and one F/J key without homing are included as replacement keycaps.
• Keyswitch can be selected from Kailh BOX Brown/Red/White
• Hot-swap support
• LED in the shape of a butterfly is placed in the upper left corner and changes color during various actions.
• Built-in piezo speaker designed to produce sound during various events
• Piezo speaker can also be used to produce a pseudo-clicking sound to match the typing sound
• Add-ons include a dedicated travel case, dedicated palm rest and desk tray, and a set of keycaps (featuring ancient Minoan script)
