Sketchy is justice…!
When replacing keycaps on keyboards, “skeleton” keycaps are a good candidate.
Not only does it beautifully transmit LED lights, but its transparent appearance has a magical power that captivates all who see it.
However, it is also true that many of the skeleton keycaps available in Japan are “no-brand” products, and many are not quite satisfactory in terms of quality.
For those who value both quality and looks, we recommend the “Supsup” series of skeleton keycaps released by LeleLab.
We will review the basic color of the Supsup series, SuperX White, as an example.

Introducing LeleLab’s Skeleton Key Cap
Lelelab offers a large selection of inexpensive, well-designed keycaps.
Among them are these three types of skeleton keycaps from the “Supsup” series.
All three contain 139 keys, and while they cannot cover full-size keyboards with numeric keys, they can cover approximate layouts up to 80% TKL.
They are also inexpensive at $44.99 each (approx. 6,750 yen), making them very easy to buy.

Let’s take a look at the actual keycap.
Let’s start with the outer box.
It has a simple appearance: a white special cardboard case with a label attached.
I personally like the simplicity of this area, although I have the impression that the price is appropriate for the area.
I like the associative coloring of the contents.
The keycap trays are stacked in three tiers.
It was classified as alpha key, mod key, and other 1u size key + space bar/ISO enter.
After all, the main feature of the Supsup series is this pop legend.
The bold, gothic, slightly slanted font gives the impression of “pop” in addition to speed and power.
Also, many of the cute icon keycaps make it look more pop.
The typeface is a little different, but the image is like Supreme.
The mod key has a unique character, with irregular patterns such as “Swag,” “Obey,” and “BBQ,” which are highly versatile, in addition to the usual wording.
There is also a 1.75u size backspace and a 1u size “| \” to accommodate HHKB style.
The fact that there is a 1.25u size shift key to accommodate UK ISO also suggests that it was developed with an eye toward sales in Europe as well.
The Enter key has a very nice white legend on a clear red keycap as a very nice accent to the fashionable look of the red legend on the half-matte clear keycap.
Of course, the LeleLab mark “Buta-san” in the Esc position is also stylish.
Let’s look at the details of the keycap.
Clear keycaps made of ABS material are half matte and not completely transparent.
It has a cloudy nuance just like frosted glass.
The legend is a UV print, but it did not peel off easily.
There were no burrs on individual keycaps and no misprinting.
Compared to other no-name clear key caps, there is no need to worry about quality.
The reverse side has a clear finish, unlike the surface.
From this, it is expected that the product is probably “transparent” at the molding stage, but some kind of surface treatment is applied to create a half clear.
Compare with “Keyreative Asimov Clear”, a completely clear keycap
You can see that the transparency is different.
This is a matter of taste, but if you want the legend to look good, the half clear will make a stronger statement.
On the other hand, those who want to create keyboards with a stronger sense of transparency may prefer Asimov.
In this case, I installed it on a Gravity 36.
The regular version of the acrylic plate is glass-edge colored, but this time it is made of red acrylic to match the keycap.
After all, a keyboard with a red case goes well with such a strong “red” assertion on the keycaps.
Gold parts and red go well together and look elegant.
The Supsup Super X White keycap set would look good on keyboards with white, clear, or red cases.
The keyswitches were also chosen to be made of clear material, but they are still transparent to that extent because they are through the circuit board.
If you really enjoy the feeling of clarity, a keyboard with LED lights is a good choice.
summary
This is a review of the LeleLab Supsup SuperX White keycap set.
If you can get this quality for under $50.00, you will be very happy with your purchase.
This is a highly recommended keycap set for those who want to wear clear keycaps but still make a strong Legend statement.
Why don’t you buy one too?
