Just hearing the name Oblivion is enough to get science fiction movie buffs excited.
NuPhy® x Oblotzky Oblivion Berry Profile Dye-sub PBT Keycaps were designed by Stephan (Oblotzky), founder of Oblotzky Industries, a keyboard vendor in Germany The set is designed by Stephan (Oblotzky), founder of the German keyboard vendor Oblotzky Industries.
This design is very popular and has been released in the form of GMK Oblivion v3.1 and Drop MT3 Obilivion.
This time, in collaboration with NuPhy, this set of keycaps was made with Berry profiles licensed by KeyTok.

Many people may be shocked that a keycap set with quite a long history was released in low profile.

Oblivion Berry Profile Keycap Set Review
Let’s take a look at the actual photos.
The packaging is quite solid.

It has a very simple appearance but feels luxurious.

The keycaps in the plastic tray are in a three-tier configuration, with keycaps for the other layouts below the 75% keyboard layout set.

In addition to the above, several “keycaps added after packaging” will be included in this issue.

The base color of the alpha key is a light bluish gray, while the MOD key and other keys are a dark gray color.

Each of the mod keys has a colorful printing pattern, which is a very “Oblivion-like” accent.

Then other trays.
The number of keys is not a problem in assembling a normal low-staggered keyboard.

It is also nice to see that there are various lengths of space bar convex keys to accommodate the Alice layout.

Since the theme of this keycap is about “programming,” the names of the mod keys are slightly different.

You will notice that some of the characters are a bit unfamiliar, such as Code and Hello, World!

This is actually quite “modest” compared to the GMK and Drop versions.
These versions had many GitHub-like terms, such as “Git,” “Merge,” “Pull,” and other mod keys as well as Code.
It is likely that many of the standard mod key notations were adopted to appeal to the general public.
Let’s look at the shape of the keys.
The key shape is a cylindrical design (as if shaved by a cylinder in the left-right direction).
It looks like a Cherry profile.

The fact that the base color is white indicates that the entire keycap is sublimation printed.

KeyTok is a manufacturer with very good five-sided sublimation printing technology.

Let’s look at profiles.
Thus, it has a stippled sculpture, which is very rare in low-profile keycaps. (Keycaps with different slopes for different rows)

The overall height is also kept very low, and it can truly be called a “low-profile version of the Cherry profile.

Thus, the official image shows that it is kept very low.

Let’s actually attach it to the keyboard.
Keyball39-LP was used for this project.
The keyswitch uses the choc v2 system.

It is a little tight, probably because it is designed for Gateron-type low-profile key switches, but we were able to use it without problems.

I still had the impression of the “usual feel” when the keyboard is tilted by rows, and I was able to type comfortably without a tilt angle on the keyboard itself.

The black case is also a great match.
This would surely look good in an aluminum-based case.

Summary|Unique appeal as a low-profile keycap with a slope

This is my review of the NuPhy® x Oblotzky Oblivion Berry Profile Dye-sub PBT Keycaps.
There are still few options for replacement keycaps for low-profile mechanical keyboards, and many of them are still “flat profile”.
If your usual mechanical keyboard uses Cherry or similar “sloped profile keycaps,” you may feel a great deal of discomfort when you switch to a flat low-profile mechanical keyboard.

This may be the reason why some people are avoiding low-pro.
However, with this Oblivion keycap with Berry profile, you can type without palm rest with “the usual feel”.
As a replacement low-profile keycap set, it is uniquely attractive.
Please give it a try.
