On May 1, 2026, Yushakobo began selling extra stock of Niuniu’s 40% keyboard “HX40.”
On the product page it’s listed as [Extra] HX40, priced from ¥41,800 (tax included), and as of this article’s publication there is only 1 left in stock.
The HX40 is a keyboard by Niuniu, known for creating many 40% keyboards.
It’s described as a design inspired by the HC-20 (HX-20 overseas), a model sold under the product name of Japan’s first handheld computer.

Greenkeys has previously covered sales info for the HX40 as well.

The GB page introduced the HX40 as compact yet offering plenty of layout options, and noted that the PCB also had EC switch variations available.
In addition to its small size as a 40% keyboard, the HX40 stands out for its design that evokes classic handheld computers.
For those who couldn’t join the GB, or who wanted to decide after seeing real photos, this looks like a valuable chance to buy it from a domestic shop.
