This design is a keycap concept released by Jezail Funder Japan and does not represent an official collaboration with any specific gaming console manufacturer or existing product.
Rather than the retro gaming color schemes familiar in Japan, this design evokes the aesthetic of Western retro gaming culture.
On May 5, 2026, Jezail Funder Japan updated its official X account and unveiled a new design concept for LCK profile keycaps.
The newly released design uses white as the base for the alpha keys, light gray for the MOD keys, and a pale purple accent.

Looking at the overall design and the phrase “Entertainment System,” it appears to draw inspiration from overseas retro gaming console culture.
While similar retro games exist in Japan, readers may recognize that the color scheme differs significantly from those.
In overseas keyboard circles, products inspired by Japanese culture—like games and manga—are extremely popular, and there are even keycap sets that use katakana only.
Official collaborations with game and anime characters are also very active, and you often see photos posted by users who love using them.
On the other hand, looking at the Japanese keyboard scene, our editorial team feels that preferences may differ greatly from that overseas “sweet spot.”
In the Japanese keyboard scene, there tends to be a preference for minimal designs that blend seamlessly with the overall desk setup, rather than emphasizing character themes or gaming references. Of course, individual preferences vary, but the reception may differ somewhat from Western keycap culture.
Additionally, keycap designs without kana characters have been gaining popularity.
This kind of hard-to-put-into-words “design that would likely land in Japan” is pretty tough.
