Array differences by model name

Two Mojo series exist: the Mojo84 with a 75% layout and the Mojo68 with a 65% layout.

The major difference is “whether there is a function key (F○) on the top row or not.

In Japanese input, the preferred 75% layout tends to be selected in many cases because the function keys are used mainly for katakana conversion and other functions.

However, the 65% layout seems to be more in demand overseas, and the color lineup also gives the impression that the 65% layout is more common.

The Mojo series is no exception, with 65% layouts having a larger color lineup.

Below are substitute shortcuts for the main function keys, so please consider a keyboard with a 65% layout.

Katakana conversion (F7 key equivalent)

(in Japanese) “control” means the ability to control control + “control K (Mac)”

The “Ctrl” character is used to select the “Ctrl” character. Ctrl + I (Windows)”

Wired and wireless models

Most of the Mojo series are available in wireless and wired models, but models sold by non-authorized distributors in Japan have not yet acquired technical qualification, so wireless connection is not possible in Japan from the standpoint of the Radio Law.

Wired-compatible models also exist and are often less expensive on sale than wireless-compatible models, although they do not come in as many colors.

The wired-only version also supports QMK /VIA, an open-source keymap modification tool, so those who want more flexibility in keymap modification may prefer the wired-only model.

About Key Profile

The shape of the Mojo series keycaps depends on the color you select.

5 23273d49 2178 4cfd 9e1e 692eece597a5 1

The majority of the lineup is in the MDA profile, and the textures are all “matte”.

The only MCR profile is the NEON color, which is also “matte” in texture.

The two MONSTER /Ember are taller MG Profile and have a “glossy” texture.

Although this information has been officially verified, we have not actually checked all of it and cannot guarantee its contents. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of this information.

About selectable keyswitches

Key switches can be selected from the following

Note, however, that the key switches available for selection vary slightly depending on the coloring.

typePressing depth (mm)Weight (gf)
Kailh Custom Plasticlinear3.638
Gateron Pro Whitelinear438
Gateron Pro Silverlinear3.445
Gateron Pro Yellowlinear450
Gateron Pro Browntactile455
TTC Gold Pinklinear437
TTC Speed Silverlinear3.445
TTC Frozen Silentlinear3.539
TTC Blueish Whitetactile3.542

The following three points should be emphasized when selecting a keyswitch.

feeling of pressure

Linear” sinks smoothly without resistance when pushed, while “Tactile” sinks after a certain amount of resistance is felt when pushed.

The most mechanical keyswitch-like is Tactile, but linear keys can be typed without any peculiarities.

Weight when pressed

The weight of a standard keyswitch is “45gf”.

Lighter or heavier than this is the criterion for judgment.

Kawamura top RKawamura

Please refer to the fact that most of my favorite keyswitches are around 40gf! Japanese people tend to prefer lighter linear axes, while overseas people prefer heavier tactile linear axes.

Depth of sink when pressed

The standard depth for firmly pushing all the way to the bottom is 4.0 mm.

Since there is no deeper stroke width than this, the criterion is whether the push-in width is smaller than the standard.

Shallow stroke widths are said to be suitable for high-speed typing.

Kawamura top RKawamura

My preferred stroke width is 3.5-3.8mm.
I prefer it a little shallower.
