What makes the Q Ultra 8K high-end?

The Q Ultra 8K series is positioned as a premium custom mechanical keyboard within the Keychron lineup.
In other words, you could call it Keychron’s flagship series.
Key features include a full metal body, 2.4GHz wireless connectivity, an 8,000Hz polling rate for both wired and 2.4GHz connections, multiple layers of acoustic foam, and customization via Keychron Launcher. The luxurious decorative elements also serve as a major point of differentiation.
The backplate on the rear is particularly impressive.
Another unique feature is that the backplate is made of scratch-resistant PC material.

The body is crafted from CNC-machined 6063 aluminum and finished through multiple processes including polishing, anodizing, and sandblasting. It’s almost more of a work of art than just a keyboard.

8,000Hz polling rate and 2.4GHz wireless
One of the standout features of the Q Ultra 8K series is its 8K support.
It supports an 8,000Hz polling rate for both wired and 2.4GHz wireless connections, achieving a high-speed response with minimal input lag.
While the polling rate is lower, the ability to switch between up to three devices via Bluetooth 5.3 is another attractive feature.
Original key switches for a silk-like typing experience

The keyboards use factory-lubed Keychron Silk POM switches.
Because they are pre-lubricated, the action is smooth. The use of POM material for the stem and bottom housing provides a soft typing feel.

Customization support via Keychron Launcher

For customization, the series supports the web-based Keychron Launcher.
You can configure key remaps, macros, shortcuts, and key combinations. A big advantage is that it can be used directly from browsers like Chrome, Edge, and Opera.
Since it’s OS-independent, it should be easy to use in any environment.

Summary | Don’t miss Keychron’s premium line available through official domestic channels
That’s the news on Keychron’s high-end models now being available in Japan.
Keychron offers a wide range of products, from accessible models like the K and V series to heavy aluminum-bodied models like the Q series.
The Q Ultra 8K series now available at SUPER KOPEK can be considered a high-end model that combines a full metal body, fast 8K support, wireless connectivity, and web-based customization.
The availability of a Japanese JIS layout without Kana legends is a particularly user-friendly point for domestic customers.
With 8K support, it seems like it could handle gaming needs to a certain extent.
However, if you’re looking for true gaming features, you might also want to consider magnetic switch models.
For users seeking a solid typing feel and a high-quality mechanical keyboard, this is definitely a lineup worth checking out.
