このように、スペシャルエディションは通常盤と値段が変わりません。
ただし、キースイッチに関してはLow Profile Gateronしか選択できず、ホットスワップは非対応となっています。
Kawamura個人的にはオプティカルスイッチの方が好きなので、限定モデルを購入するのであれば、通常盤を購入して、キーキャップを別で購入します。
Low Profile Double Shot PBT LSA Keycapと通常のキーキャップとの違い
正直なところ、打鍵感を求めるのであれば「Low Profile Double Shot PBT LSA Keycap」を搭載したモデル以外選択肢に上がらないとさえ思っています。
それくらい、通常盤とは打鍵感が異なるのです。
やはり、１番の違いはキーキャップ自体の重量と厚さでしょう。
通常のABS素材のキーキャップは、バックライト透過性に優れているものの、非常に薄く重量も少ないため、ただでさえ薄いロープロファイルキーキャップの打鍵感を損ねてしまいます。
重量の違いを見てみましょう。
一つあたりの重量ではなんと2倍の違いがあるのです。（一つあたりの重量が軽すぎたので、3つ単位での測定を行っています。
また、通常のキーキャップと比較すると一回り大きいサイズ感となっているため、Keychronのロープロファイルメカニカルキーボードにみられる、キーキャップ同士の隙間がなくなるため、外観の改善にも役立つでしょう。
また、PBTキーキャップは、耐油性に優れるため、皮脂の付着によるキートップのテカリも気になりません。

ここまで、Keychron K5 SE スペシャルエディションについて紹介してきました。
残念ながら、日本では購入できず、Keychron.comから個人輸入する以外に購入できません。
ただし、スペシャルエディションでなければ、日本国内の正規販売代理店から購入することできます。
キーキャップについても、コペックジャパンで取り扱っているため、組み合わせて購入するのがおすすめです。
