The “Mode Designs” keyboard brand is still unheard of in Japan.
This is a great brand that offers high-end keyboards with an innovative mounting style called the “block mounting system” that provides a great keyboard feel.
The Mode Designs, however, has three “special projects” announced for June 2024 that are very impressive.

Mode Designs Announces Special Project for June 2024
Mode Designs sometimes releases “limited editions” or “special editions” in limited quantities, models that incorporate new ideas and designs that would probably not be suitable for mass production.
Normally, the frequency is about one project every few months, but this time, perhaps due to the fact that a large-scale meetup event is coming up in July, a whopping three special projects were announced in one month.
As for the price, it is also special, but the “limited edition of xx units worldwide” is a price that you can understandably afford.
Alexotos Edition Sonnet
The first is the world’s most famous keyboard YouTuber / keyboard review site operator, “ Alexotos the world’s most famous YouTuber and keyboard review site operator.
Even Japanese keyboard fans have probably heard of it at least once.
Previously, with the ” Alexotos Edition Switches ” project, we created custom key switches based on his image colors of orange and white, and now we have not only revived those key switches, but also created a Sonnet in his colors.
This limited Sonnetn is available in two versions.
- Stone & Orange Orange orange accent weight, stone colored top case and polycarbonate bottom case. Limited edition of 200.
- Stone & Copper Super heavyweight model with full copper bottom case, copper accents and stone colored top case. Limited edition of 10.
As for the switches, the Obscura linear (67gf) was custom made to 58gf.
Unfortunately, the model with the full copper bottom case is already sold out, but the Stone & Orange model is still available.
I can’t wait to see the serial numbered weights through the polycarbonate case.
Font Awesome Sonnet
If you are in the Web world, you have probably heard of it at least once.
Fontawesome is a brand that is well known worldwide for its development of custom icons.
The icon is featured on the bottom case portion of this limited edition Sonnet in a bright blue color.
As for the icon, it is in the form of an engraved CNC aluminum body with E-Coat applied over it.
The top case is dark gray, which is also a nice touch.
And most notably, the dedicated keycap can be “purchased separately”!
By changing the color of the accent keys, you can make the keyboard look gray-based chic. In addition to the “blue” theme color for this year’s theme, red, green, and orange accent colors are included in the package, so you can create a keyboard to your liking.
Manufactured by Signature Plastics, it is made of double-shot ABS, so there is no need to worry about the print disappearing.
Mod Musings – Encore
Encore is a keyboard designed by Mod Musings.
This is a two-time limited stock release, the first sale has already been completed. (Sold out, of course)
